"So, when did FBI Director Mueller inform President Obama that the FBI was investigating the DCI?"

I'm not even sure Mueller knows he is still the FBI Director. He has all but disappeared...so much so he can't even see his own relection in a mirror.

Anyone wanting on or off this ping list, please advise.

With each new revelation, I come back a a common denominator which has to do with keeping the FBI locked in a closet.

CBS reported a representative of Hillary requested FBI agents be brought in on 9/11. That request was denied.

Sources: Key task force not convened during Benghazi consulate attack

Absent coordination from Counterterrorism Security Group, a senior U.S. counterterrorism official says the response to the crisis became more confused. The official says the FBI received a call during the attack representing Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and requesting agents be deployed. But he and his colleagues agreed the agents "would not make any difference without security and other enablers to get them in the country and synch their efforts with military and diplomatic efforts to maximize their success...."

Following 9/11, it was 3 weeks before the FBI reached Benghazi and once there, they were on the ground for hours. It wasn't until Lindsay Graham wrote a letter that the FBI was granted access to the suspect being held in Tunisia. By his own words it was a matter of 24 (or 48 ) hours.

Friday we read this:

Kessler: FBI Investigation Led to Petraeus Resignation

"....Still, the White House, with concurrence by the FBI and Justice Department, held off on asking for Petraeus’ resignation until after the election. His resignation occurred three days after the election, avoiding the possibility that Obama’s ill-fated appointment of Petraeus could become an issue in the election.

FBI agents on the case were aware that such a decision had been made to hold off on forcing him out until after the election and were outraged....

We do not know at what level the FBI concurred or if Mueller was involved in the decision. We only know when Cantor went to Mueller.

I don't know what to make of it. It seems each revelation carries with it another instance of the FBI being thwarted in some manner. Where has Mueller been through this? Is there a layer in the FBI loyal to the Administration charged with preventing certain information reaching the highest levels of the Agency? If so, for what purpose? I have more questions and no answers. I may be reading too much into it.

Just putting it out there.
