The recipient of those emails, fearing for her safety, contacted the FBI - which found that Broadwell had sent them.
A government official told the New York Post that the emails contained such language as: 'I know what you did,' 'back off' and 'stay away from my guy.'
The official added: '[Broadwell] clearly thought something was going on' and thought she was in a 'lovers triangle.'
Little is known about the recipient of those emails, including her identity, but the paper reported that she was not Petraeus' wife.

So, does the FBI investigate every complaint of threatening e-mails? I doubt it. Either the complainant was someone pretty important or the story is BS.

Okay, if you believe you are being harassed eg., you’re a girl who gets into a catfight with a married woman, the new standard office procedure is to call the FBI to investigate for you.
What I want exposed is Obama’s treasonous gunrunning to Al-Qaeda and their allies.

What I want to know is whether it’s true that she also (by obvious means if true) holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Army Reserve.

This is right out of the twilight zone, and I don’t mean this article.
First, we learn that Petraeus has been harrassing Broadwell with emails (”thousands” of them). Then we learn from the FBI that a third party, possibly another Petraeus “mistress,” was the subject of Broadwell-harrassment! And we’re supposed to believe that the FBI 1) followed up on complaints from an as-yet unnamed complainant, 2) discovered that the complaints involved Broadwell, who had had an affair with Petraeus and that that affair might “compromise” Petraeus and the country, 3) evidently, according to the president’s claimed ignorance of the affair, failed to report this “compromising” information to the president, but, 4) according to Eric Cantor, had discussed the whole matter with certain members of Congress. This is definitely not your father’s FBI.
Further, is it likely that Petraeus, as CIA director, had the time to harrass one former mistress (with, as one freeper suggested, nearly 20 emails A DAY!) while another current or former mistress was receiving threatening emails from the mistress who had already ended the affair? That last claim’s a guess. Of course, we don’t know exactly when ANY of the emails were written or when they were discovered or why the FBI would honor an individual’s complaint by delving into personal email accounts. Unless the individual was “connected.” Or the individual happened to drop the general’s name. I think it’s reasonable to assume that Muller would not have taken this on without instructions from higher up.
If Broadwell were working for Bibi (which has also been suggested here) or Obama, why would she endanger her mission by harrassing another “mistress”? Heck, even if she weren’t working for anyone, why would she endanger her own & Petraeus’ reputation by initiating a campaign against another “mistress”? How did she find out that she had a rival? (She did write his biography, after all, but would she have found out in that process if the CIA hadn’t uncovered it in a background-check before he accepted the directorship?)
WAY too many threads here—usually a sign of one lie superimposed on another.
The Marxist knew this well before the election.
