Are you suggesting that Cantor should have gone public with the news? That would have been very unwise.

No, he should have forced Petraeus to come clean before the election and let the people have all the information to form an opinion of Obama’s Administration. The FBI said they didn't find any “legal” issues so if Petraeus refused then yes, send it to the public.

Cantor should have referred this matter to the committees already having
Hearings on Benghazi . Betrayus and Broadboobs should have been put
Under oath behind closed doors and determined the truth.
That’s what should have been done. What Cantor did was pass the buck.
And I am sure Bonehead was aware, as well.
Bonehead and Cantor should be removed from their non- leadership posts.
Period.

All Cantor knew...was that some idiot was sending threatening emails to some female citizen. The cops weren’t reacting, so he gave it to the FBI and they did what you’d expect...dig into what was going on. No one knew where this was going, until they unbundled our New York Times reporter’s email account and noticed emails to the general. You can imagine the shock on that technicians face when he finally figured out who she was having an affair with. As for Cantor? I doubt if the FBI ever went back to brief him on anything. He’s probably sitting there and shocked about how a simple request to the FBI went and caused this event to occur.

Unwise why - because it may have cost us the election? OOPS! That already happened!!! Boehner and the rest of the House Leadership can kiss my lilly white arse. They're now no better than the Democrats. Time for a truly CONSERVATIVE party.

No, he should have warned Issa and asked him to immediately recall Petraeus and others, under oath. Even if the hearings had been behind closed doors, the mere hint to Fox News and others that Issa’s committee had explosive information on Benghazi would have made Obambi look like Nixon. That probably would have forced Hillary and others to throw him under the bus.
