The ranking Republican on the Senate Intelligence Committee said he’s spoken to former CIA Director David Petraeus about still testifying on the Benghazi attack — and the answer is not now.
Sen. Saxby Chambliss (R-Ga.) said on ABC’s This Week this morning that his committee wasn’t told about the Petraeus investigation — reportedly centering around his mistress and emails — until Friday, when the general’s resignation was announced.
“He and I have already had a conversation. You know, he’s trying to put his life back together right now and that’s what he needs to focus on,” Chambliss said in regard to Thursday’s closed-door Benghazi hearing, at which Petraeus was supposed to testify.

Other than that, he’s free to do what he pleases until his next Congressional testimony.

Cantor passes the buck to FBI, but doesn’t pass it on to his committees?

I agree, he wrecked the life he claims to need time to put back together. The 4 murdered in Benghazi did nothing to ask for their fate. We need answers now.

Re: trip in front of Congressional hearings, what does his personal life have to do with appearing before Congress? Can’t think of any legitimate reason he should not be able to get his backside into these hearings. We deserve to know what went wrong.

Sure seems like it. Petraeus doesn't deserve any time for anything. He should be subpoenaed immediately and picked up if he is a flight risk. Just what is going on here and how big is the cover up and what is being covered up?

Yes, he does. Now Chambliss and Cantor both have some serious explaining to do. But it won't happen.
