When I got home from church this morning, I turned on the TV, and the news was live from Arlington National Cemetery. Some guy (I don’t know who) was giving a speech about veterans .... and that vile communist, seated to his right, was looking down and picking at his fingernails. I thought of my late father, who wore the uniform of this country for 17 years, and wept for the first time in I don’t know how many years.
