Enough with the low Romney voter turnout! (Vanity)

Those of us who have been folloing elections for decades KNOW that the final vote count will take until at least Thaksgiving.

My prediction is Obama around 64.5 million and Romney around 60.5 million. Around 126 million nation wide counting all third party candidates in with the mix. A drop of of around 5 million from 2008. Almost all the drop off will be from Obama's vote total.

The big Republican drop is from 2004 to 2008. The big Democrat drop is from 2008 to 2012.

Thanks for the post, I’ve been trying to point this out for a week but people are so desperate to prove that people stayed home because Romney was a RINO that they are impervious to reason.

I’ve done a full spreadsheet and estimated Romney ends up with about 63 million votes, actually (something is really wrong with the Washington State totals, says 55% of the vote in, but projecting that to 100% gives way too many votes).

The swing states, the last I heard, is about 338 thousand difference. You throw in voter fraud which pushes Obama over the top.

I ran 2004 numbers as well, and factored in growth of the voting age population - in raw numbers Romney will end up with more votes than Bush in 2004, there will likely end up being no more than a 1% drop in Romney’s vote from 2004 factoring in population growth.

It’s hard to make a case that more than 0.1% or 0.2% of that dtrop would be people that voted for Bush that stayed home because Romney was a RINO or Mormon.

If you leave out Texas (as there’s a native son effect) Romney did just as well in the Bible Belt as Bush in 2004.

Still, counting all the votes of people who died since 2008, the numbers should be larger!

There two ways to express outstanding votes ~ percentage of outstanding precincts, and percentage of estimated normal vote.

Neither one tells you how many votes are outstanding ~ if you knew that, you'd know the votes!

It’s pretty clear the CNN numbers are % of votes counted; you’ll note that for each county in the country they have 100%; 100% of precincts have reported AT ALL, but they have not counted all of their votes - thus the “71% in” number they report for California, even though every county in California shows 100% of precincts reporting.

And running the spreadsheet assuming the statewide “% in” numbers are % of total votes counted, not precincts reporting, results in very believable vote totals that are similar to 2008; with the notable exception of Washington and Oregon (big mail-in voters tates) - must be something wrong with their % of vote in as the vote totals end up too high - and New York and New Jersey being low - Sandy an obvious explanation there suggesting in those states turnout was in fact down.

I think the big drop for Republicans ~ 4.5 million or so from 2004 to 2008, was due mostly to baby boomers dying off ~ and what they called Rockefeller Republicans in the North East having failed to propagate in the 1970-1987 period in sufficient numbers to keep up their part of the electorate.

There was no significant coalition partner change.

The Democrats got a double whammy this year. They gained more Democrat votes from the crowd who usually don't vote back in 2008, but they suffered the same very real demographic losses in 2012 ~ but the non-voters reverted. At the same time Democrats have been failing to propagate at the rate we would have expected in the 1970-1987 period for NE Republicans because they are really in deep in this abortion thing of theirs.

If you crank in the 35 million dead black babies and the 20 million dead white babies, heavily centered on the Northeast into all the figures, you'd see Rooseveltian majorities for the Democrats ~ out as far as you could perceive. Relative growth among Hispanics would seem negligible.

Our problem in getting Republicans elected at the top is a short term one ~ this year wasn't it, but if the Democrats suffer another loss like this one, they'll be showing up with vote totals in the low 50 millions.

BTW, starting from relatively equal numbers the Democrats are showing tremendous losses in numbers way beyond what Republicans have ever seen ~ kinda' sorta' buried in this year's victory, but they don't own the House. Their higher death rates in the aging cohorts, plus their higher abortion rates, guarantee them political oblivion in a decade or less.

Folks who want to split the Republican party might be well advised to begin preparing for that now. One of the factions can take over the space formerly occupied by the Democrats.

Absentee votes, of course, give you a raw count simply because you have the return envelopes, but you have to open them. There's always a rejection rate due to voter failure to comprehend the rules.

Oregon is total mail-in. They thought it was a good idea. At the same time it ends up more costly and takes longer.

Washington is one of those places where the major vote generating systems in the Western urban areas are essentially corrupt. No one can know what the vote is until the last lost satchel is recounted!

I think Romney will be closer to 62 million or more and Obama closer to 67 million. Right now Obama has 62,030,023 votes (51%) and Romney 58,745,402 votes (48%).

CA has only reported 71% with the total vote so far about 10 million. There should be 4.2 million more votes from CA alone. Obama should get at least 60% of those. Ohio has only reported 90% and NY 86%. WA is still at 55% and OR 75%. AZ at 80%.

All modern Mormons want to feel as persecuted as they are taught Joseph Smith and his immediate cadre were believed to be ~ before he got assassinated by former church members upset about this, that, and what they perceived to be a sort of currency fraud.

They'll add the Romney loss to their litany of 'we wuz persecuted' tales. I don't encourage folks to do that for the simple reason that a century or two down the road no one can make amends even if there had been persecution.

Throw out this all-fraud county and Mitt wins Ohio, no question!

Why? A total of 5,364,324 “people” voted in Ohio. Obama got 2,691,861 votes, while Romney got 2,584,620, a difference of 107,241 votes.

How did Cuyahoga County’s 900,135 votes affect the final result? You do the math.

For Ohio to certify this result would be a crime in and of itself.

Here is a petition you can sign at Change.org to request a full recount. I suggest we just focus on the swing states, but it is true that many Congressional and Senate races are also affected, from Allen West to, I believe, Mia Love. Mia was up by 10% the week before the election and lost by 3,000 votes to Matheson in a state that went 73% for Romney. Not likely!
