(CHRISTIANPOST) — A Texas megachurch pastor recently claimed that President Barack Obama’s re-election victory would lead to the rise of the Antichrist.
Robert Jeffress, senior pastor at the First Baptist Church in Dallas, made remarks on Sunday before the election that should Obama win, his victory would lead to the reign of the Antichrist.
“I want you to hear me tonight, I am not saying that President Obama is the Antichrist, I am not saying that at all. One reason I know he’s not the Antichrist is the Antichrist is going to have much higher poll numbers when he comes,” said Jeffress.
“President Obama is not the Antichrist. But what I am saying is this: the course he is choosing to lead our nation is paving the way for the future reign of the Antichrist.”

I have a very good friend that is very much Christ centered but given a clear cut choice between the path of restoring our nation to its Christian roots or going with a God hating murderer, he still voted for Obarabbas. I just don't understand the appeal of Obama.

You are 100% correct, I believe Obama came out of the Jamkaran well in Iran like Imadinnerjacket believes, I think he was smuggled here to be nurtured and raised for the presidency, heck Valire Jaret probably crawled out too. If there is an inexplicable economic boom, I will have to agree that Zero was a trigger event in the lead-in to the end times. It is certainly clear that evil is more and more readily accepted and that seems to be the main sign of things.
The AntiChrist is coming no matter what we do. Every action and event “paves the way” for the AntiChrist. To think we can stop its coming or even slow it down is rather ignorant of this pastor.
