Peacefully grant the State of Texas to withdraw from the United States of America and create...

We petition the obama administration to: Peacefully grant the State of Texas to withdraw from the United States of America and create its own NEW government.

The US continues to suffer economic difficulties stemming from the federal government's neglect to reform domestic and foreign spending. The citizens of the US suffer from blatant abuses of their rights such as the NDAA, the TSA, etc. Given that the state of Texas maintains a balanced budget and is the 15th largest economy in the world, it is practically feasible for Texas to withdraw from the union, and to do so would protect it's citizens' standard of living and re-secure their rights and liberties in accordance with the original ideas and beliefs of our founding fathers which are no longer being reflected by the federal government.

This is absurd.

You don’t “petition” the US government to leave.

You just get up and leave.

Neither Texas, nor any other State, has petitioned to secede. This is only a petition of citizens from Texas.

There was a thread posted about the Louisiana “petition” earlier. I think these have been set up by libs for the purpose of instigation.

“A state that produces will never be allowed to leave they are needed to pay for the slouches that are not”

Right on, Slaves trying to leave are caught and pay a price...

But Secession is something many of the states need to seriously discuss as an option now.

Texas is #3 in Medicaid recipients (after Cal and Fl).
Are they going to ship them out of state?

While petitioning the government to leave is silly, what is not silly is the momentum that is building for a serious look at secession. For a peep at our new constitution, see

http://freetexasconstitution.wordpress.com/

All we need is some leadership from the powers that be in Austin. I also see a meeting between the leaders in Oklahoma convening with the leaders in Texas for a joint push for secession.

nascarnation is correct. There are simply too many people in every state dependent on a check from Uncle Sam. Suppose Texas says it is going to leave the union... in every state every city and small podunk town has HUD housing, food stamp and welfare recipients, farmers who get subsidies, old people on Social Security and Medicare, and on and on and on. Immediately, the Feds would cut off the funds - there would be riots, post offices shut down, old people without food and on and on. This is not the 1860s. People then could survive without Uncle Sam. For many people now, that is not possible. We are indeed slaves.

From the source:”we petition the obama administration to:Peacefully grant the State of Texas to withdraw from the United States of America and create its own NEW government.”

As I wrote about the Louisiana petition:

1. As far as I know, the Obama administration has no authority to “grant the State of Texas to withdraw from the United States of America government”, peacefully or otherwise.

2. I don’t see why Texas would need to create its own NEW government, unless they want to establish a monarchy or go communist or something.

I think you better start with petitioning Austin to have Texas declare Independence.

To: Sub-Driver; All

The Austin Liberal that Texas has in the Governors mansion will not let Texas secede....Rick Perry is a Liberal Globalist and he wants a North American Union...not an Independent Texas

No one really desiring Texas independence is going to want Perry anywhere near Texas when it happens.

If Texas seceded the burden of no federal taxation would be an unbelievable wealth creator. Those actually needing help could get it directly from charities or churches.
