His remedy — short of new affirmative-action legislation — is to sue financial companies, schools and employers based on "disparate impact" complaints — a stealthy way to achieve racial preferences, opposed 2 to 1 by Americans.
Under this broad interpretation of civil-rights law, virtually any organization can be held liable for race bias if it maintains a policy that negatively impacts one racial group more than another — even if it has no racist motive and applies the policy evenly across all groups.
Equal Outcomes
This means that even race-neutral rules for mortgage underwriting and consumer credit scoring potentially can be deemed racist if prosecutors can produce statistics showing they tend to result in adverse outcomes for blacks or Latinos.
Already, Attorney General Eric Holder has used the club of disparate-impact lawsuits to beat almost $500 million in loan set-asides and other claims out of the nation's largest banks.

Yep, the banks went from reluctant compliance to (thanks to competitive pressure from Countrywide) eager compliance. And when the whole house of cards came crashing down, they were castigated for "predatory lending practices."
No need to wonder why there've been no prosecutions. I'm sure that any eager-crusader Dems have been told - make that shown - that the Dems' own policies were a major cause of the blow-up.

I already thought all things were equal in the loan application process. I think he means giving them preferential treatment; you know...the very thing that got us into the current economic mess we’re in. I guess the dummies just can’t acknowledge the truth; that there are groups of people that share many of the same traits; like failing to pay their bills, lying on loan applications, mishandling priorities as in having fun first (partying or shopping) and taking care of bills later...
Everyone needs to get their kids out of school now. Closing the test score gap, in schools, means harassing the white, achieving students until they leave or fail.

It is time to dispense with the archaic system used by professional sports that allows them to select players based upon ability to such an extent that it allows terribly out of balance racial makeup of teams.
All pro teams should be required to have 12% AA players. No more, no less. The same goes for the Olympics. This inequity must end NOW!

Yes, that’s what they used the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act data to do back in the 80’s and 90’s - to find disparate impacts of mortgage rules. The DOJ back then used findings to stop bank branch expansions and mergers. Banks then loosened up lending practices and stuffed Community Reinvestment Act folders with tons of paperwork to show compliance. It marked the end of risk controls in mortgage lending.
I bumped into an old friend who is parttime professional in the medical field, and a fulltime teacher in DC. What he said about the quality of the black students (who are the uber-majority in most DC public schools), saddened me to no end.
He said that he couldn’t teach these kids. Besides lacking learning skills, they have a welfare, govt-is-going-to-give-me-everything if they are pregnant, unemployed, on drugs, mentality.
They expect the government to take care of them so that they don’t have to work.
Another friend, who taught in DC for several years, said the same thing. He was a big advocate of teacher-student collaboration on learning, but he said that with their backgrounds (no learning reenforcement at home (some exceptions), drugs, single parent homes/working mothers who don’t have time for helping with homework, the gang-mentality of neighborhood youth, lack of decent role models in the family, neighborhood or DC government, etc), they don’t stand a chance of succeeding as a group. Individuals will, but most won’t unless there is a total makeover of the educational system and the leftist thinking that guides it now.
What a damned shame. Black kids are being kept in another form of “educational slavery”, as well as helmed in by drugs, disfunctional families, led by crooked politicians, and operating under marxist ideological strategies (Bill Ayers as one of those marxist leaders in education).
Many of the Hispanics are beginning to mimic the Blacks re this welfare/entitlement mentality, which helps to explain why Obama got so many votes from both blocs.
I don’t have many answers but my friends, who are abandoning the teaching field do. It is nothing less than a total makeover of our entire educational system, with an emphasis on the fundamentals of learning re core curriculum, making the students learn how to read, write, and speak properly, and instill the “work ethic” as something to be looked up to and lived by (despite razzing from their friends).
Unless these changes occur some, Obama and his marxists will be able to maintain an addicting plantation mentality on many groups in America, thus preventing them from ever rising above a mediocre, dependent, and/or criminal existence.
