I don’t feel lost either. But by any rational discription, it is indeed, ‘over.’

When the Alphabet agencies are politicized to the point that they are accomplices to the problems we face, it’s over.

When the opposition party caves regularly and we expect them to, it’s over.

Et all.

But most definitively, when the ‘old guard’, people like we on FR who are supposed to be the rockest of ribbed right, do as we did in rah rahing a liberal as our political savior for months as so many here did, the bar of conservatism was not lowered, it was melted down and reforged into deck chairs that will be rearranged by the GOP as needed.

Is there hope? Sure. But people, as I said often, have not yet felt enough pain. People bitched that ‘my business...’ or ‘my friends/family...’ et all ad nausem prevented them from making hard decisions...decisions that will eventually be made if anything but liberalism is to ever rear it’s head in America again.

But they lacked the self sacrifice. Now they will have their business stripped, their families and friends hyperregulated and the rest.

Perhaps they will someday stand on their principles rather than play the ‘lesser evil’ game. Perhaps then they will win rather than be led by the nose by the GOP and it’s empty promise of ‘conservative governance.’

/rant.

As for me, I’ll just go with whatever happens until enough people decide to care. I don’t really have a choice. I’m not Superman after all. Not that I’m happy about it.

And for those who disagree, I don’t particularly care.

Random thoughts. There’s working hard and there’s working smart. Being lucky and being good.
Most of us would like to think that we’re both lucky and good, hardworking and smart.
Sub rosa: “beneath the rose.” “Those who hid well, lived well.” Spinoza
I can see a lot of hardworking, smart conservatives—lucky and good at what they do—dropping out. Refusing to play the game. Little Galts, for at least four years or until the SHTF, and now it’s not a question of whether but when.
I don’t feel “lost” but I’m not working harder so I can pay more over to Uncle Obama so he can “redistribute” it.
