Did Petraeus mistress reveal new Benghazi details?
Foreign Policy ^ | Blake Hounshell

So here is a bizarre twist in the David Petraeus resignation saga.

Paula Broadwell, the biographer revealed as the woman having a secret affair with the now-former CIA director, gave a talk at the University of Denver on Oct. 26 in which she appeared to reveal sensitive, maybe even classified, information about the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi.

The most interesting revelation is her claim that the CIA was holding two Libyan militia members prisoner, which may have prompted the attack. (Though she also sought to explain the Obama administration's initial view that the attack was linked to the YouTube video Innocence of Muslims, an anti-Islam polemic that sparked riots across the Muslim world.)

Will the Administration need to admit that in addition to their lies about what they knew and when they knew it that The US did in fact have boots on the ground?

One possible explanation; we think of it as one event, but in fact there were more like two discrete attacks separated by a lull of some FOUR HOURS.

It’s true that they did take some attackers prisoner in the first attack on the Consulate, and that those guys had been relocated to the Annex, i.e., “The Farm”.

So I think it’s possible she is referring to those guys? She might be suggesting that the motive for the follow-up attack on the annex was motivated by a desire on the part of the comrades of the prisoners to free them from the annex...?

Or perhaps there had been other prisoners there already...?

Either Broadwell or the blogger that is making the “holding two prisoners” conjecture are taking liberties with attributing the cause of the attacks to the detention of the so called “two militiamen”.
Other sources of leaked information have stated that they were taken captive during the rescue of the personnel at the (consulate?) building where Stephens and the others had been attacked. They were taken to the CIA (safe house?).
Now maybe Al Qaeda then attacked the safe house trying to get them back, but the full scale attack had been underway for hours by then.

Not that it was a huge force, but they did say two military personnel came with the force from Tripoli. There were at least two military in Libya.

None of this makes any bit of difference, 4 American's are murdered while a sitting US president denies support. No matter who is involved, what the information is, or why it happened no one will ever be held accountable while living on this earth.

We are witnessing the metamorphoses of the new Amerika, accountability is no longer part of the process for anyone in the government.

I posted this link on another thread...this blog is written by a former intel officer; he published his piece about 90 minutes before the guy at Foreign Policy and goes a step further; according to the “formerspook,” the “in-extremis force was the unit that Gen Carter Ham (AFRICOM/CC) wanted to send to Benghazi, but was reportedly over-ruled by officials in DC. And a few weeks later, Ham’s replacement at AFRICOM was announced by none other than Leon Panetta. Ham is retiring months ahead of schedule; just a coincidence, I’m sure:

I remember hearing that the X-Seals had taken a couple of Libyan’s as prisoners but were forced to release them to the Libyan Government. Who gave the orders to release them?

I also remember reading that the Brits gave all of their arsenal of weapons to our Consulate when they left Benghazi.

Could there be another possibility ... that the investigation was not “official” but was instead being conducted by some rogue FBI individuals ... because the President and DOJ were actually potential targets of the investigation?

"But Mr. Abu Khattala insisted that he had not been part of the aggression at the American compound. He said he had arrived just as the gunfire was beginning to crackle and had sought to break up a traffic jam around the demonstration. After fleeing for a time, he said, he entered the compound at the end of the battle because he was asked to help try to rescue four Libyan guards working for the Americans who were trapped inside. Although the attackers had set fire to the main building, Mr. Abu Khattala said he had not noticed anything burning.

The Birth Certificate issue is an example of the modus operandi of this entire Zer0 blight on the political landscape. It has been all a fabrication and that also includes this last election fraught with voter fraud. What makes me even angrier, being a former journalism student, is the American press. Its duty as watchdog for the American citizen over the government is as phony as a wooden nickel.

The movie Matrix is close to describing the alternate universe they are creating.
