As Twitchy has been reporting, the layoff bomb has detonated. Many companies, both large and small, have been forced to lay off workers due to President Obama’s re-election. With no hope of Obamacare being repealed, they are now forced to lay off employees in order to stay in business.
But it’s not just layoffs. Some companies are also contemplating cutting hours. Sadly, many companies have already done so.
Part-time is the new full-time in Obamaville.
This doesn’t just hurt the workers, who now have to try to live on a far more meager salary. It hurts the country as a whole.

Layoffs are a huge win for the Rats. They create greater dependence on the federal teat and foster greater resentment of greedy businesses.

You’re right; they bit the hand that fed them (their employers), and now they’ll pay the price. As part of the adjustment to the “new normal”, it will be assumed that food stamps and other handouts will permanently complement meager earnings.

They still were fed, warm/cool, have cable TV, a car, a cellphone, etc.

I would bet MOST of the low wage workers voted for Obamugabe. Don’t feel sorry for them. At all.

There is a world of difference between living in (or around) a welfare reservation and actually earning a decent living. The drugs/crime alone should provide any normal person sufficient incentive to get off their asses.
These people are f’n clueless. Yep, they’re going to have all the healthcare they desire under obamacare, free healthcare for all. Because they have a RIGHT to free healthcare.
Little problem, though: they don’t have a right to a JOB.
So they’ll have stripped-down healthcare but their lifestyles will plummet, their neighborhoods will go under water even further, and they’ll be standing in line at the local food pantry to feed their kids.
And of course, their Chosen One will do a flyover to see the devastation caused by these greedy business owners, land his chopper and hug some fat governor who will tell these pathetic voters everything is just fine, now I gotta go make my tee time.
Guess these part-time workers should have read the bill before they told their reps and senators to vote for it.

Absolutely; I’m not concerned about the waitresses, bartenders, pizza delivery men, etc. that I used to support before my own personal austerity program kicked in. We have restaurants closing or working with skeleton crews, even our Pathmark closed (I believe this was another victim of Wal-Mart moving in).
I’ve said it before. This loop hole will be fixed so that all employees are covered. It’s part of the hidden plan to take over the system.

These folks aren’t experiencing consequences for being unproductive citizens. They are able to live their “hip” lives without the accompanying poverty. This is the goal of liberalism, at the sheeperal level - to make unproductive (ie, lazy) lifestyles feasible at the expense of others.
Those people always existed (”starving artists”); I’m referring to the people who used to work until they were outsourced/downsized/laid off, and now have no discretionary income. They knew a better life, and are now idled; they see no light at the end of the tunnel.
