Republicans in Congress should let Obama have his way

The only hope for an America that would reward such epic failure by re-electing Obama and a Democratic Senate, is to accelerate their re-education in the consequences of liberal Democrat economic policies.

Speaker John Boehner should announce that he has heard the voice of the people and will honor that voice by letting the President’s agenda be fully enacted so that there will be no doubt who owns the economy. We can’t obstruct enough to make a difference in the natural outcome of events, so why strain at gnats?

Let us make clear that we are doing this out of respect for the vote to re-hire Obama and to let the people have what they voted for. It took many decades to produce such an electorate and if the Titanic liberal culture can ever be turned around, it will only be after hard lessons are learned and the voters can easily assign blame.

I say, let’s get out of the way and let Americans have it all now, while some may still have a faint memory of the jewel of what was, and so might have a chance of choosing to return to Liberty rather than devolving into Third World status.

This lobster seems to need to feel an even greater boiling water heat. They chose it. Let them have it all. Reason doesn’t work with these people. They are beyond those appeals.

Time for tough love. Let the teenagers drive the car unrestricted and maybe we can recover after the inevitable car gets wrapped around the tree.

America now resembles the guy that jumped off the Empire State building only to decide to reverse course after descending to the 25th floor. He must suffer the natural consequences of his irrational acts before he can act to improve his lot.

Let them eat totalitarianism.

Sounds good to me. I'm finished trying to educate the willfully ignorant masses. Let them eat totalitarianism. Besides, I'm just a pilgrim passing through this realm.

(Any earlier post of this article wasn't tagged with the Keyword, "Congress" and FR's Search doesn't work at all for me at the moment; I just get a blank screen, no matter what I search for.)

Last time I checked, the House holds the pursestrings to the entire government.

Defund Idiotcare. Block amnesty. Obama is going to self-destruct on his own with fuel prices, food prices, a loss in AFG, the economy, unemployment, and increased terrorism on our shores.

I agree. I think they need to give him his economic ideas. I would try to minimize the defense cuts to a more reasonable level, but let him implement and own the decline.

Sounds good on paper but if Obama voters were capable of learning from consequences they would have learned already.
History is full of nations that allowed dictators and despots have full reign. But yet no lessons are learned and we keep trying the same old insanity.

I would agree with him if no conservatives lived in the US. But allowing Obama to have his way will cause as much harm to conservatives as to the liberals who caused it. So until then the House of Reps should curtail all his and his Dem cohorts requested spending

The last think we want to give Obama is bipartisan cover. That will kill the GOP for good.

Which is precisely why every member of the GOP should abstain on every vote. It's the only way to kill liberal totalitarianism for good.

I agree. Give Obama and Reid everything for which they will be held accountable.

Let them OWN the disaster that will ensue.

Half of me says let him have it and own it; the other half wants to continue the fight on every front we still can.

With all the personal and business losses I’ve had over the last 13mos, and now this on Nov 6th, I’m still “up on the ledge”. I need to get a better grip. I’m working on it.

John Boehner should announce that he has heard the voice of George Soros.

I totally agree. Why should Republicans take the blame for being obstructionists. Obama is president, let him lead. American’s lusted for Obama, give them Obama!

I’m going Gault and will pick up the pieces after the economic car is wrapped around the tree.

Interesting. You use “economic car”, the guy in the blog above uses a bus as an analogy.

In his “bus” are the people of the country. The bus goes faster and faster, and the road gets icier and icier. It’s headed toward a hairpin curve.

Some ask to get off the bus, and some stay on the bus, because it’s [currently] warmer.
Those getting off the bus may survive, IF they are wearing the proper cold weather gear.
Those staying on the bus will plunge to their deaths.

The ONLY thing Republicans must not give 0bama his way on is repealing term limits for his Presidency via Executive Order.

I agree. Give Obama and Reid everything for which they will be held accountable.

The second part of your statement is the key. They should be held accountable if we give them their way and the system crashes. I fear they will not be held accountable, either by the media or the electorate. The 'Rats will find someone else to blame (Republicans, Bush, Tea Party, etc.) for their failure. The media will give them cover. The sheeple will buy it because the 'Rats "care" and want to give them free stuff like Obamaphones and food stamps.

It's a no-win situation for the 'Pubs. They are going to be blamed if they go along and the society collapses, or if they fight (i.e., "obstructionists"). But, knowing you're going to catch hell no matter what you do can be strangely liberating. You already know you're screwed, so you might as well do what you think is best (fight, or go along) and say to hell with it. All I would do in that case is take as many 'Rats down as I could before they get me. Then pick up the pieces (if you're still around).

Let them have their way and America will forever remember that a republican house did it.
