Rep. King calls Petraeus affair a ‘crisis’ of ‘major proportions’

House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Pete King (R-N.Y.) on Monday said he found the FBI investigation that uncovered former CIA Director David Petraeus’s extramarital affair a “crisis” of “major proportions.”

“This is a crisis of, I believe, major proportions. It’s not a usual political thing,” said King on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”

King’s remarks come as lawmakers have raised questions about why they or President Obama were not informed sooner that the nation’s top intelligence officer was being investigated by the FBI.

IMHO...the Oligargchy prefers the Petraeus show...to the “fraudulent election show”

The Bipartisan Oligarchy has really, deliberately disenfranchised THE TAXPAYING portion of the electorate....there really is no obligation to continue to pay taxes as our claim to representation has been revoked by them.

“Direct” disenfranchisement refers to actions that explicitly prevent people from voting or having their votes counted, as opposed to “indirect” techniques, which attempt to prevent people’s votes from having an impact on political outcomes (e.g., gerrymandering, ballot box stuffing, stripping elected officials of their powers).

I hate being cynical - I really do.

But come on - there’s a Democrat in the White House. There are no crises any more. There are no scandals. Everything is fine and getting better and we’re nicer and nicer people. Anyone who says anything bad about any Democrat is being crassly political and needs to be condemned.

The all knowing and magnificent Obama and his Democrats knew all about Petreaus' behavior and had it under control. This business demonstrates how wise it was for Americans to return Obama to the White House. Nothing escapes Obama's godlike gaze over all of America.

So verrrry puzzling whey they would have held those cards so close to their vest, with the Sec’y of State sleeping with a member of the MB, or the sitting President a former or current Muslim with a long-term pattern of association with KNOWN terrorists, right? Gosh, it’s so shocking...!

But all of this proceeds from the assumption that the Prez did NOT know —WHO really believes that the Chicago Machine is more lawful and less aggressive about collecting dirt than the FBI...?

Who thinks Hussein —who STARTED his career by drudging up dirt on enemies— first found out from the FBI? You would have to be very foolish to believe that...

Did Petraeus turn up irrefutable evidence that Hussein wasn’t born here? Did he find something showing that Hussein is AQ...?

The public loves and understands hot boobs, but that is NOT the focus;

1. Hussein went to bed prepared for 40 Americans —not 4— to die by morning

2. 15,000 MANPADS remain on the black market, probably with most of those in the hands of proto AQ operatives. If most are still by lucky chance in the hands of apolitical Libyan farmers it won’t matter much, as few people there will trust our people to keep their help secret, after the way all the Consulate documents were permitted to remain unsecured.
