WASHINGTON -- Citing what he perceives as an Obama administration "war on coal," an Ohio coal mining executive and prominent Republican donor responded to the results of the presidential election by laying off more than 150 workers.
Robert Murray, chief executive of Murray Energy Co., the largest privately held coal company in America, blamed the layoffs on President Barack Obama -- and, by extension, the voters who elected him -- in a memo to employees. The company employs 3,000 people and produces 30 million tons of coal a year.
"The American people have made their choice," Mr. Murray said in what he called a prayer that he delivered Wednesday to about 50 staff members at a meeting at which he discussed the layoffs.
Reduced demand for coal, slumps in coal prices and looming pollution regulations have converged to cause the destruction of the coal industry, Mr. Murray said.
"We must totally go into survival mode and generate all the cash that we can from whatever we still have left that can help us," he wrote in a staff memo.

perceived? nothing perceived about it, the war on coal is fact.
Om 2008 the coal miners voted for the Kenyan and they did it again. Hey coal miners; you get what you vote for.
Too bad the coal companies can’t just shut down and let the power companies burn their Obama Windmills and Obama Solar Panels. That’s what the libs want; just do it and get it over with.
Not so fast. Campbell County Wyoming has the largest coal mines in the country and the county went 85.6% for Romney.
Obama’s Quote on Coal Industry
“So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can. It’s just that it will bankrupt them because theyre going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that’s being emitted.”
That’s one campaign promise that Obama kept!
I’ve long maintained that killing the coal companies was all about creating assets that can be sold cheaply to China.
Furthermore, in 2008 the county went 80.1% for McCain. Oh and the county has the 10 largest coal mines in the country.
But but but -————— they didnt vote for zero. They voted for Romney !
Look at the FACTS ! It is ALL FRAUD ! FRAUD ! FRAUD !
The KNOWN facts PROVE it FRAUD !
Put the effort into demanding the EXPOSURE of the FRAUD !
Only mistake Mr. Murray makes:
“The American people have made their choice...”
No, no, no.
“Soros bought HIS choice...”
Yes. Fact. the coal miner layoffs won’t matter though. There aren’t enough of them and there are even fewer that are black or latino.
Only people that don’t matter are being sacrificed. The proletariat are being fed and satisfied. All else is being harvested to feed them.
The quicker the fields are destroyed and all is consumed the quicker they will move on to destroy something else.
