The independent states of America: Tens of thousands demand to secede from U.S.

Bid for freedom: People from the states marked in red have lodged petitions asking to break away from the rest of the United States since Obama returned to the White House

Although America carried President Obama confidently into a second term last Tuesday - not everyone is jumping for joy at the prospect of four more years.

Tens of thousands have put their names to secession petitions in 20 states, asking that they peacefully become independent from the rest of the country.

The documents have been lodged on a government website We The People - and Texas has almost enough people behind its petition to warrant an official White House response.

If anything, I would have given states 2 electors per senator instead of one. The power of the majority was not really balanced by the electoral college compromise.

And there are idiots out there who want to do away with the electoral college. Then we can just sign over everything we own to New York and California.

All this isn’t necessary except as a process and to restore states sovereignty and generally the priciples of the USC. Otherwise, it would be easier just to give certain states the boot.
The opposite of seced would to for certain states to recede? from the union.
They are no longer fit to be part of the union.

Ca,Most of New Englang from NY up. Once they were given the boot the good halves of those states (minus big cespool cities) could be given statehood.

Secession is the ONLY legitimate way to begin an end to our association with the F’ing idiots who crave a socialist “benign” dictatorship. Our problem isnt the M’er F’ers in the elected offices. We could organize a mission to coordinate the assassination every single leftist POS in every single elected position and it would benefit us nothing. They would be replaced by the same or worse from the PEOPLE who have undergone years (decades) of indoctrination.

Our problem... THE problem... is the weak minded fools that allowed themselves to be sucked in to the death cult of forced collectivism.

and its only going to get worse as marxist teachers at government schools continue to pray on the weak minded among us, turning them against us and themselves.

The ballot box, as a means to right this ship is finished. In fact, this ship is finished... But its just a ship. a means of transporting a cargo. We can build another ship to safeguard the precious cargo that is now in danger of being sunk. Freedom and liberty do not have to be lost to the bottom of the ocean, we only need to have the desire, will and courage to leave the old and construct a new means of transporting them to future generations.

No one is going to do it for you. You cant go into a store and buy it. We cant pull through a drive through window and order it. You cant depend upon the military to secure it for you. and modern day politicians will never decree it for you. WE HAVE TO DO IT OURSELVES! Secession will require more from us than most are willing to give or even have. It is NOT for the weak of mind or soul and it will be HARD. We will be opposed by those whos very existence would be threatened if we remove their fangs from our veins and violence will most likely be necessary to defend ourselves and our newly restored liberty..

So... Whats your freedom and liberty worth to you? What is the the freedom and liberty of your future generations WORTH to you? To US?

my prediction... Most of you will get sucked back into the unwinable political game that is being used to give you just enough hope to keep you from more serious endeavors. Livestock are simple dumb animals that are unaware of their station in life or even their fate. Humans are a little more difficult to keep as cattle than a cow but if you tell them their is a light at the end of the tunnel and feed their mind with bull shit hope, they will remain on the farm and submit to be used as a resource.

prove me wrong...

That’s a huge, huge assumption.

Where did I assume anything? I only voiced a hypothetical. The GOP is obviously playing the part of the Washington Generals to the Democrats' Globetrotters.

By my estimation - we are heading to societal collapse and break up in the next 20 years. There is no way that the debt, deficit, spending obligations, can be kept going at this rate

Texas has surpassed 25,000 votes

Expect a chastisement from the teleprompter. All I can say if it is from Texas it has to be Bush's fault.

I hope you are right. But the way our military has been weakened, infiltrated, and politicized by defectives, it worries me.

The instant ANY foreign troops set foot inside America to answer Obamas request for help he would be toast as an outlaw and the US Military would get rid of the occupiers. It simply would not be tolerated due to the enormous risk to security they would present.

Any large state the stood its ground might not have ample military forces but they would have plenty of former military along with the state police and a civilian force armed with plenty of weapons.

Fed government would be looking st a fairly capable opposition and their ability to put down a succession without totally destroying the state would well in doubt I would think.

Oh, so you're a democRATic, living in a marxist hellhole/septic tank, feeding at the public trough, participating in one of the world's worst "education" systems (actually a socialist indoctrination center) and now you have the chutzpa to compare me to Chris Matthews?

Enjoy your plight, a better use of you're overpaid time, would be to go back and "educate" your fellow RATs.

“And the left does not look at the productivity of the right as something it needs...”

Despite your misinterpretation of my comment, we agree on much, but I part company with the above quote.

So, we are talking about secession on this thread, and following through on this very bad idea, we must reason about corporate products and other resources in the disaffiliated states, which are produced and/or are processed there or transported through them. Try food production, for starters, and those resources aren’t exclusive to the breadbasket states. Try transportation and interstate commerce.

And the left— meaning government, because that is what this conversation is about —is taxing us up to our occipital ridges, why exactly? The right hand produces; the left hand takes.

Not an accurate map. The 1/4 of coastal states touching water would be their own socialist countries.

You need to see the county-by-county 2012 electoral map.

Obama sees the Department of Homeland Security developing into a blanket organization that will keep US residents in line. In his own words “...just as well funded as the US military...”.

Even in Texas I am now seeing what we refer to “technicals” in other countries. These are pickup trucks with DHS logos that cruise surface streets looking for who knows what. The only difference between this and pictures of I have seen of Somalia is I have not seen several “youths” with AK-47s and RPG launchers in the bed of the truck. Perhaps our inner cities will look like Somalia soon.

What I find interesting is that so many actually signed these petitions. Imagine how many there are like you and me who wouldn’t sign it but would consider supporting the concept. That’s likely a very large number.

No, our goal is not to get Obama to react with force. We don’t want UN forces on U.S. soil. We don’t want to sacrifice one of our states as a symbolic gesture.

So if your goal is to get to Australia as your homepage states, how ‘bout you “git-to-gittin” and leave these decisions to those of us who want to stay in America?
