Skip to comments.Feinstein: Iíll subpoena CIA about Petraeus trip to Libya after Benghazi attack

One piece of information that got lost the last few days of sex scandals is the news that David Petraeus personally traveled to Libya after the Benghazi attack and apparently filed a trip report covering his own findings. Senator Dianne Feinstein, who heads the Senate Intelligence Committee probing the Benghazi terrorist attack, wants either the report or Petraeus to testify to its contents. So far, though, the CIA and the White House have refused to provide it and yesterday, Feinstein threatened that subpoenas may be forthcoming if the stonewalling continues...
...This lack of openness, coming on the heels of the revelations of Petraeus affair and his resignation, will only raise more questions about why Petraeus is no longer testifying, and why he was so quick to get out of the way. When a Democratic Senator has to go on MSNBC to threaten a Democratic administration with a subpoena, well . it should raise a few eyebrows.
...The premise is not necessarily an investigation, Feinstein said, speaking of an investigation into Petraeus. The premise is to see exactly what happened. I believe that Director Petraeus made a trip to the region, shortly before this became public. I believe that there is a trip report. We have asked to see the trip report. One person tells me he has read it, and then we tried to get it and they tell me it hasnt been done. Thats unacceptable. We are entitled to this trip report, and if we have to go to the floor of the Senate on a subpoena, we will do just that.
Host Andrea Mitchell asked Feinstein for clarification, and Feinstein explained that trip would include relevant information
Feinstein wondering WTH is going ON here...
I was just about to post the question about if anyone had read that Petraeus had gone to Benghazi only a few days before the election?
I posted this on another thread
CNN has confirmed that Petraeus recently traveled to Libya to meet the CIA station chief to discuss the attack.
Diane ‘calico curtains’ Feinstein isn’t the least bit interested in the truth.
Do I dare say I like Feinstein on this? How long before she gets a visit and will she listen to people warning her off?
Yeah, I had heard that on Beck, yesterday. This is just getting beyond strange.
I think he went with Chaffetz after the attack.
So he went again? Face to Face? Not wanting to discuss things over a phone or what?
Yes the administraion will visit her with a file labled Feinstein. She will back off!
Maybe he wanted to make sure the Libyan government supports his version of what happened. Also, to make sure they don’t reveal the real purpose of the annex. Promise them aid if they do.

Over the past week, Petraeus had traveled to Libya and Jordan, and directed the agencys response to the controversy surrounding the attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi. Officials said Petraeus insisted the controversy had nothing to do with his decision to resign.
I saw that! I posted this just because ..I’m being shallow and petty and enjoying watching Andrea Mitchell SQUIRM ;)
LOL! I cannot stand that little mushroom-capped troll.
What is so strange about it???? The Obama admin. trying to cover up their incompetence and lies? If you want to get to the truth on this find out WHEN Obama issued his directive!!!
I am flabbergasted no one is asking or inquiring about this, especially freepers, or maybe everyone else knows "when," but me!?
Petreaus is just a diversion.
All part of a ruse that the Rat pukes are pulling. The only serious acts this individual undertakes is to steer billion-dollar government contracts to her husband’s businesses and to defend Red China and her husband’s business interests in Red China.
Shocked? Didn’t think so!! lol
Please see new Drudge page- Pitiful and hilarious...”Four Star Circus”..
So ... how did that subpoena for F & F documents work out? The administration just promptly complied and turned them over, right? </sarc>
