I had a pretty simple claim for an arm I broke (badly) on duty with lots of documentation in my medical record. I even had a letter from the main aviation medical center in P’cola stating that my injury was permanent. It took 710 days to complete my claim. The VA rep told me the current average is over 250 days.
My claim took two years. I had to use a distant relative in the VA to get it done.
