Rubio calls on Clinton, Petraeus to testify on Benghazi

While members of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee were tight-lipped about a classified briefing on the deadly terrorist attacks in Benghazi, Libya, many made it clear they still had unanswered questions about what happened.

Committee member Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) told reporters following the mid-afternoon briefing that he was pushing to hear from Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who has so far been absent from the hill following the Sept. 11 attacks.

“I think ultimately we need to hear from Secretary Clinton,” Rubio said. “I think she’s willing to come in and talk about it, I know she’s traveling, but hopefully she’ll be back soon and we can get some answers from her. I think she has an invaluable role to play.”

Fat chance. Hillary will do all in her power to escape just that.

Wow, a Republican is demanding that a Democrat do something? A Republican isn’t caving today? Didn’t Rubio hear about the election results? How is he not caving today like the rest of the Republican Party?

Every republican should be demanding both of them to testify.

Petraeus should testify. Come on, he can't chicken out now; it's his baby. He has to live with what he's done personally to his family but Americans should demand him and Hillary to testify. If Petraeus doesn't on his own terms(he's a coward Imo) or if something happens to him..that's different scenario. Hillary and her crap, that she is traveling is all a set up as usual.

They should not only ‘ask’ them to testify, they should demand it through a subpoena! The House has that power and should use it. Dammit, grow some gonads will you!

Senate committees are run by Dems. Clinton and Petraeus will not be called. Now, House committees, maybe so.

No, not the House committees. They are all much too busy talking into microphones and on their off time, asking the rhetorical why did republicans do so badly?

No time for work.

Why do we hire these guys?

UUgh!

I am getting closer to dropping out. Last week we lost our last hope of slowing this crap. This week we have the destruction from within of the Military, CIA and the FBI as well. We still have 4 people murdered and no answers. We have Clinton, Panetta, Carney and the President not giving a damned as usual.
We have a Republican party which has been neutered.
Things are just looking terrific for America. /s

Don’t forget Trey Gowdy from SC. He seems very tough and committed to getting to the bottom of the Benghazi scandal. I like him for 2016.
