Ohio Families Face Food Stamp Cuts, Republicans to be Blamed

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: This is out of Ohio. And, of course, there was no way this news was going to hit before the election. Ohio families receiving food stamps -- and there's a ton of them, because we learned yesterday that the food stamp rolls grew at a record pace from July to August. We've already got 47 million Americans on food stamps and growing. We have the regime advertising in Mexico on Mexican radio soap operas for food stamps in America, how to access them, how to get them.

We have the Republican Party joining with the Democrats on importing a whole bunch of new low-income people which will end up Democrat voters. So the Republican Party is wittingly or unwittingly participating in the importation of more Democrats who will be granted a pathway to citizenship and who will be shown how to vote and access food stamps.

But here, in Ohio: "Ohio families receiving food stamps could get an unwelcome surprise come January: $50 less every month in assistance. For the 869,000 households enrolled in the program for the poorest Ohioans, that could amount to about $520 million annually out of the grocery budgets," the aggregate combined grocery spending. Food stamp benefits will be cut by $50 every month starting in January.

Do you believe that the people on food stamps expect that?

I don't.

You see, "Because of the way the federal government calculates utility expenses for people receiving the benefit, a mild winter nationwide last year, and a lower price for natural gas, many families could experience a significant cut in aid, those familiar with the program say. Recipients should get a letter from the state Department of Job and Family Services this month explaining the change, said Ben Johnson, a spokesman for the agency.

"Meanwhile, food banks and others that distribute food assistance are bracing for increased demand." You'd better keep Mayor Michael Bloomberg out of there because in New York they cannot give food to the homeless because it hasn't been tested for fat and salt content. I kid you not. By the way... (interruption) That is not a joke! (interruption)

Snerdley, that's who they are. You don't believe it? It is perfectly sensible that Michael Bloomberg would prevent food being given to poor people because the trans fat and salt content hasn't been approved. (interruption) Doesn't matter! That could kill 'em, in his view, giving them poison food like that. It's who we're dealing with.

Without food stamps and other government aid, Ohioans might start to think about having those jobs that that Mr. Romney was bothering them about.

Well, it could be argued who to apply those labels to: If one endlessly works and gives the fruit of their labor to the other, which is more stupid?

“If one endlessly works and gives the fruit of their labor to the other, which is more stupid?”

That’s a pretty good koan. How good are you at starting cults?

"Republicans to be Blamed"

And it's a shame it will work.

Logic and facts are foreign ideas to most people. We're on the 2nd generation of the PC craze. No education from public schools except in matters of sex, correct political thinking" and that someone, somewhere owes them something.

Impeach the kenyan or secession.

If one endlessly works and gives the fruit of their labor to the other...

We have the Republican Party joining with the Democrats on importing a whole bunch of new low-income people which will end up Democrat voters.

That couldn't be more obvious and true. That considered, why one earth would losers like Lindsey Graham and other Republicans be working so hard to destroy their own party?

This was posted yesterday (Rush must get his material from reading FR). I calculated that 20% of households in Ohio are on food stamps.

Gee, I wonder if this had come out a few days before the elections if it "might" have had an impact on the results?

Do I need to add a "Sarc" tag?

Amazing how much influence this wholly CORRUPT, Chicago-Thug, bottom-feeding, fascist REGIME exerts over the Agencies under its control to include the BOL who we all know have been cooking the books over the "True" Unemployment numbers and now, obviously the FDA who HAD to have known about these changes before Nov 6th.

That’s $520 million that the grocery stores won’t get.

I have an idea. There’s a republican governor in Ohio. He should get a law passed forcing those with jobs to pay an extra “Welfare Reduction” tax. It sounds like it’s getting rid of welfare so all the liberals will love it. Then they’ll get their paychecks and being saying what we said on election night. “What the hell just happened?”
