I don’t think secrecy is as important as honest elections....but that is just me.

St Lucie provides a great test for the Florida system.

The state should take advantage of the opportunity and do a hand count and a machine count of every ballot and every vote which would expose either the flaws in the system or the flaws in the people running the system.

I agree that paper ballots are better than voting machines.

However—those of us in heavily Democratic states know that the ballot box can be stuffed in strongly Democratic precincts after the Republican poll watchers are escorted off the premises.

Recent thefts in earlier elections include the governor races in Washington State (Seattle late counts) and Connecticut (Bridgeport late counts).

have no doubt at all that Romney won this election. It was stolen.

I fully agree. 100 percent.

Where is the GOP on this issue? If they aren't going to confront this issue with everything they've got, they need to dissolve the party and let the United States be a one party state fully --because that is what it technically is.

This is the only issue that matters right now as far as I am concerned.

I find this story highly dubious, since Chicago does not use and has never used touch-screen voting machines. Chicago uses paper ballots that are filled in by hand with a pen, then scanned by a ballot reader. They used to use punch cards, but that was abandoned after 2000 and the “hanging chad” fiasco.

Well your system could be made so no one could tell how you are voting.

With out a secret ballot the election is not honest. I remember voting in Gary , Indiana where there were goons watching to see that you voted the way they wanted you to vote.

Hell, even the Iraqis managed to have a legal election. One person, one vote, one purple thumb. Easy breezy. But here in the states? We have to be stuckonstoopid and do things the leftie way so they can cheat.

And you have to ask yourself WHY not even our side (supposedly) has even tried to ‘fix’ this nation’s voting irregularities. Bush had years of total GOP control in which he could have fixed these problems. But nooooo!

Now it’s too damned late. I seriously doubt that the radical left will ever lose another election in the USA again.

Again....we are now screwed in every way humanly and unhumanly possible. Might as well deal with that reality.

“All votes should be on paper ballots and as you turn it in a running tabulation kept that the voter and everyone else can see.
There is absolutely no reason that this cannot be done.”

This is why I am though with politics. Bush should have made election oversight a major issue after the dems tried to steal Florida in 2000. We will never win an election again unless: 1.) the election system is overhauled to make cheating impossible, or 2) we learn to cheat like the dems.

Otherwise, it does not matter who we run as a candidate. Status quo is unacceptable.

I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that the very same industrial controllers/microprocessors that where infected with STUXNET virus are the same architecture as the ones used in Electronic Voting.

This was the first time I used a votronics machine. I was appalled with it’s quality.

so sad that children today are not taught what the country is about , how it was founded and why but that was design.

When one looks at the commie rules of 1963 then they have nearly done all of it.

http://www.uhuh.com/nwo/communism/comgoals.htm.

The media, the lawyers, the judges, special race groups, the white house, the FBI, the schools. now the military and churches nearly

Then look at what Marx said, goes along the lines of we cannot push our views by force we have to get into positions of power and influence.

They have done that.

Then Stalin said along the lines of it is not who votes which matters is it is who counts the votes which matter.

Tehn think of cloward and piven and Alinsky and they have done this text book style and still our side with power and alking heads ignore all of it and instead of being proactive like the left is and always fighting regardless of results.
Our side reacts and then states move on we lost that fight.

just caught some of obama talking at the press briefing, /

For crying out loud this media is such a joke.

How about where were you when these attacks took place?
You said you were not informed that this was terrorism but later in the debate you said you called it terrorism a day later, why?
DID you watch the attack live time with the others in the situation room?
If so did you go to sleep during the attack?
Why did you go to Vegas if you knew this was terrorism?
Did you give the order to stand down?
if so then why?
If you were not told then why has no one been fired at the top?
You say you were not told until election day about the affair so why have you not fired the people at the top in the FBI and Holder?

We still do not know where obama was during these attacks, what did he do and why did he say this was a you tube video?

Seriously I heard a question which goes like this.

Are you waiting to pass judgement on this affair and the General when you have all the details?

Really!!! You have just given him a cop out and the answer , that;s not a serious question but a statement for him to be helped when you report later to your viewers.

It should be a simple matter for statisticians to compare turnout and voting patters in the jurisdictions with each type of voting, to see if touch screens have an inexplicable drop in Republican turnout, for instance.

There is overwhelming evidence of voter fraud, and machine manipulation in this election. Isn’t there some mechanism where the vote can be nullified?

The electors could do something about it, but they won’t.

there’s so much cheating, that we need a scorecard to keep up. Why doesn’t over 100 to 158.58% voter turnout have us marching in the streets? Good Grief! Where’s the outrage?

The outrage has been subsumed by the new normal. Once the results were in from 2k8, and it was perceived as “ok” the die was cast. Now after 4 years of the lsm beating the class warfare and fairness (read social justice) drums, a little vote fraud is easy enough to swallow. The lie (low information electorate) will never vote to end benefits they depend on.

The road ahead is long, windey, and rough.

One problem with it is that it would eliminate the secret ballot—one could cross-reference the times on the ballot and the sign-in sheet to find out how everyone voted. I’ve been wracking my brain to come up with a way around it. I’m wondering if a smartcard ID might provide the answer—those perform encryption entirely by themselves; the idea is that any machine into which they’re plugged NEVER sees the encryption key. You insert the card, type in a PIN, and you can use it to authenticate. I’m wondering if some sort of encrypted QR code also on the ballot could be used to eliminate the possibility of someone forging your vote.

Ultimately, though, we face several problems:

1. Someone attempting to vote in place of an unwilling voter (like us).

2. Someone attempting to vote in place of a willing (or uncaring) voter.

3. Someone destroying votes outright.

#1 and #3 are more tractable, but defeating #2 will be tough. I think it’s going to take a biometric scan when signing in to defeat that (iris scan, fingerprint scan, etc.) Many business laptops now support fingerprint scanners (including mine) to try to deal with the authentication issue. I’d like to see a state take a crack at it. Many people will howl at having their fingerprint scanned, but bear in mind—if you want a security clearance you have to get fingerprinted anyway. Clearly, according to how the Left behaves, voting requires a level of trust above the honor system.

Well, I'm not married to the time stamp — I am resolute on the date stamp and Chain of custody though. Increasing the level of electronic complexity is a bad idea in my opinion. I just don't trust the operators of the technology. In fact, This is where we have dropped the ball on voting in that we trust the poll workers when most of them are SEIU members.

If the Greeks could hold clean elections using nothing more than buckets of black and white stones there is no reason we can't get paper ballots right.

Be prepared to hear all about lots of “voters staying home”...now its..”they came and voted but the touch screen vote didn’t register”..”there’s no Republicans in that part of town anywhere”...NONSENSE!!!!....the Bipartisan Oligarchy would rather we all stew in that mess..than having us all bothered, and deciding to investigate, about all the voters voting who never voted...

Listening to descriptions of how “Democrats got out their ground game” with “superior ability to bring those to the polls who normally would never go” by the commentators on Fox election night..made me realize..what they actually have done is track names that HAVE NOT VOTED IN MANY, MANY elections cycles....and vote them.

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2012/10/23/No-Car-Finds-2-214-Registered-Voters-110-Years-of-Age-Older

A well-funded project, county-by-county..to examine the names signed in at at the polls..and going out to find those individuals..you’ll find they were never physically at he polls..or they themselves never filled out the absentee ballot....or their names in the death registers.

The very LAST thing the Bipartisan Oligarchy want or need is any semblance of Constitutional Federal Gov’mt or a clean vote. As far as they’re concerned, this election worked out great for DC! Every advance of the left accrues more power to DC...and then the Oligarghy takes turns playing with the new batch of toys....of which ObamaCare is merely one of the latest games they get to enjoy.

Both those are up to We the People to cram it down their throats so hard in DC they will, someday, never do otherwise.

Absent a clean vote.....We the People are being taxed without representation..Ask George III how well that worked out!

I used touch screen voting, and it had a paper trail. Went through 3 stations to get my “vote” card assigned to me. The card # was assigned to my name, then I went to the computer, cast my vote, and to complete my vote, it was printed to paper for my review, kind of like a grocery store receipt.
