Teachers Face Investigations for Anti-Obama Messages

Two public school teachers are facing investigations for posting messages that some perceived as critical of President Obama on social networking sites.

In Rock Hill, SC, a middle school teacher was placed on leave after she posted a message on her personal Facebook page about President Obama and food stamps.

“Congrats Obama,” she allegedly wrote. “As one of my students sang down the hallway, ‘We get to keep our food stamps’ … which I pay for because they can’t budget their money … and really, neither can you.”

A school spokesperson said they had received several calls complaining about the eighth grade math teacher at Rawlinson Road Middle School. The teacher has apologized.

A school official told Fox News that the complaints originated from pro-Obama supporters outside the school.

“People outside the school system that saw her posting and some of them said they were offended by it,” spokesperson Elaine Baker said. “She used poor judgment according to our social media policy. Teachers are kept to higher standards.”

Baker said teachers and school employees should “watch what they post on Facebook to be careful.”

First, if the teacher was stupid enough to post this on FB under “Public” (you can choose from “Public” or “Friends”), he/she probably deserves what he got. But second, I’d like to see the teacher (or his ACLU lawyer) comb the FB sites of every other teacher at that school and see what kind of pro-Obama cr*p they’ve been spewing. I’ll bet there’s lots. We need to push back against this kind of incursion against free speech.

How did I know that you would automatically take the "low" road instead of saying: "How can I get involved to help these teachers?"

Please show me exactly where I shifted the blame to the parents. That post was aimed squarely at wintertime. I won't hold my breath for you to admit your error. The DoE needs to go and control of education needs to be put back into the hands of the people with the most vested interest in it, the parents.Good news I spoke to our superintendent and he spoke to the BoE. Tomorrow is going to be the last day our school is open. You have until Monday to get your plan in place to take over the education of 832 students.

We have 25 Special needs students all low functioning. There are 47 or 48 Special education students that need Resource rooms. They are medium to high functioning. We have 6 that require adaptive P.E. I am adding one to the after school program tomorrow. You will need four teachers for that. There will be 6 students in the program on Monday waiting for you. One girl uses bath salts on a recreational (Yes mom and dad are very aware of this.), one boy is having a sexual identity crisis (one of your teachers may need to help him with his makeup, seriously). The one I am adding tomorrow has had 5 violent outbursts in the last two weeks and is not allowed on the campus during regular hours.

Please send me a copy of your plan to deal with this and I will forward it to the concerned parties.

I realize that this is short notice but hey what better way to "starve the beast?"

So??...Unless a parent can ransom their children from the government schools, if a government bureaucrat decides that a child MUST to associate with children similar to those described above, they MUST do this. If they don't the child and parents face court action and arrest by armed police.

No, conservative would agree to force a child to think and reason godlessly, yet these children **must** just to cooperate in the godless government classroom.

No, conservative would agree to support and establish an institution where the child risks learning to be comfortable with socialism. Gee! If the government socialist institution can give them tuition-free schooling, then that government is powerful enough to give them **lots** of “free” stuff. Is it any wonder that, now, half the nation looks to government as their redeemer and savior and worships at the altar of socialist handouts?

No, conservative would trash the First Amendment Rights of a child or his parent. Yet....Government schools do that every day. Government workers strictly control speech, press, assembly, and forbid free exercise and free expression of religion. And...ALL government schools **establish** a religiously non-neutral GODLESS worldview.

Yet...Some teachers ( claiming to be “conservative”) consider It a public service to do the above. Sorry, I don't get their reasoning. I bet some of Pol Pot's re-education guards felt they were doing a public service, too, because they were somewhat kinder to the inmates.

Finally, I have made a personal decision. I will NOT have a government school functionary for a friend. They are too evil, too stupid, or too much of a Useful Idiot to be a friend. Government schools are destroying our nation's freedom and literally teaching children to think godlessly. I don't want to associate with that.

WOW! What a great way to create an ignorant stereotype. I think that I will stop associating with all of my homeschooling friends (The ones that I take to our school on weekends to teach them cabinetmaking, boat building and the safe use of power tools, since their parents don't have any of that equipment) on the off chance that one of them might be a narrow minded bigot that is all talk and no action.

And it is a really great idea to make them march in lock step and associate only with those that share the same group think mentality that you have.

Thankfully some of your own children were able to slough off that mindset you tried to force down their throats.
