What Were All of You Thinking?
American Thinker ^ | 11/14/12 | Robert Oscar Lopez

[L]et's be honest. We had little reason to believe that Romney was truly dedicated to improving our social and cultural conditions -- indeed, that all-important thing called the human condition -- because he talked endlessly about his business experience. Most Americans don't like their bosses and have trouble with landlords and creditors. Talking about one's business experience is not usually a good way to win them over.

On election day, it became clear to me that the Republican Party had been led into Purgatory by the Laodicean wing. In case you aren't familiar with Revelation 3:14-17, here is what God says in that text:

I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.

So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked[.]

Here's the simple version: stand for something important, damn it. Articulate human values. Be about something more than numbers. Be hot. Be cold. Be a flavor. Don't be Mitt Romney: lukewarm, milquetoast, centrist. The Laodiceans were warned -- God will spew thee out of His mouth. So it came to pass.

***SNIP***

As an Evangelical values voter, I felt like I was the dirty family secret asked to come into the "big tent" through the side flap. In the end, I voted for Romney, but many people like me [...] decided to stay home and spend the day praying to God for strength. At least God, unlike the Republicans, will never forget us or be ashamed of us.

That goes double for me.

Many will find a way to recover their senses after the moral and political debauchery that was Romney Republicanism, and remember that this is supposed to be a country premised in constitutional, republican, REPRESENTATIVE self-government, but after reading your post I’m doubtful that you will be one of them.

Listen man, the future belongs to any 50 year-old as much as it belongs to a 5 year-old or a fetus. However, 50-somethings are old enough to vote and that’s what makes things happen (or not).

“It is in the personal virtues of conservative thinking — modesty, self-sacrifice, chastity, fear of God, decency — that I find a reason to be on the right side of the dial. Cut ties to the social agenda, and you will cut ties with me.”

I buy this completely, however, I also buy knowing how to budget, run a business successfully and stay in the black.

Purgatory is not Hell. If only we were being led to Purgatory we would be on our way because after our purification we would reach our goal. Instead we are being marched into the bowels of Hell by the marxist.

“People need to stop pointing fingers within the GOP and investigate the Dems’ massive voter fraud and suppression of the military vote.”

She’s absolutely right about that. We know she’s pro-life but she’s wise enough to know that we can’t afford to let go of the prime objective of running that SOB out of town.

Voter fraud? No question.

Mincing Romney never looked more stupid than when he conceded---he remained duped and sap-happy til the end......like McDumbo/McCain.

=================================================================

It's becoming crystal clear why Obama seemingly "screwed-up" at the crucial first prez debate---giving Romney a huge opening (or so it seemed).

O's debate screwup was no accident----he said he was "being polite" to Romney---b/c he knew the crooked election was in the bag for him.

Ohaha and his cunning, sinister crew knew then that O would win...... no matter what Romney did or said. B/c the WH orders had already gone out----their massive voter fraud operation was already in place

======================================

I recall an odd incident as the campaign got underway----Axelrod took CBS News on a tour of what was being billed as O's campaign war room. But to my eyes---it was completely staged----there were people sitting at computers and at desks---but nothing was going on.

I now believe O had literally no campaign operation b/c they had the whole thing fixed from the get go. Oh sure---they went through the motions--but it was all faked.

O says he had the "first" billion dollar campaign---so did he report to the FEC where he spent all that money?

Hah.

ANSWERING MY OWN QUESTION---as if his FEC reports (if any) will be scrutinized. Not likely.

===================================================

REFERENCE Pre-election mark o'malley excerpt: "Every campaign, of course, believes it’s going to win. Obama’s team, however, conveys such a visceral sense of self-confidence that even protestations to the contrary take on air of comically profane absurdity......"

NOW THIS IS EERY---B/C AXEL ADMITS HE KNEW WHO WAS GOING TO WIN---O'MALLEY: Axelrod’s way of saying that he thinks the election is already over. . . “The (Romney camp has) this fantasy that the debates will come and the dam will break like it did in 1980,” Axelrod said. “I think they are delusional.”

Clearly the sinister Axelrod knew the outcome even before the debates began. Axelrod: “The (Romney camp) didn’t give people anything to grab on to, and they allowed us to define him before he could define himself,” Axelrod says of Romney.

SAY WHAT? Early on, O's campaign spent an astounding $300 million to tarnish Bain/Romney-----with little or no effect. Romney kept climbing in the polls----virtually every poll had Romney ahead.

Make no mistake---massive voter fraud took place---the Ohaha connivers were confident of victory b/c they were micromanaging the fraud from Day One.

======================================================= /

We've seen some pretty shady characters in the political game---but no campaign has produced the likes of the Chi/Mob con artists running Ohaha's sleazy game.

David Axelrod has shown himself to be The Most Sinister Character ever to surface in politics. Axel, Valerie whatsherface, Rahm Emanuel, m/m Ohaha---are the kingpins of crooked Chi/politics---they are very practiced at fixing elections. They know all the sleazy tricks.

Which is it you’re attempting to identify with Jim Jones-style mania, specifically: a simple belief in mainstream Christianity, or voting for Mitt Romney?

I don’t agree with Lopez’s opening statement which would not apply even to Obama. In his mind he’s changing the US and so he is. For the worst.

The apparatzick MSM morphed the contitutional birth control question forced on almost all religious groups by the demo-coms(because they’re anti-God and this should have been pointed out but wasn’t) into a personal one. MSM never reported on what the Catholic bishops were doing or the legal suits being brought against this regime. That went unchallanged

What the Romney did not do was go after the bread and butter issues that affected every demographic pocket book such as the reasons why those on fixed incomes must go on food stamps and apply for other “benefits” such as energy assistance etc.

That is the price of ; goods, services ,food, as well as the cost, use, and type of of energy resources, particularly coal, oil, and natural gas have all been driven up by Obama through his endless edicts, use of regulations and prohibitions all designed to change the systems of distribution and use of pleantiful resources to conform to his socialist scheme or ideal. Without any regard to the consequences.

I flooded FR replys with that issue in the hopes that there would be someone in position would pick up on it and bring it up during the campaign. Now after the loss it’s started to be discussed.

Instead we got a simplistic 20 million new jobs

Then there are the new taxes for 2013 and the reasons to dump not only Obama but elect Senators opposed to Obamacare with the warning that it will become a fact if it is not defeated Nov 6th.

Yay for you. Of course when Liberals vote for everything that has been destroying this once-great Nation, they too are voting their "principles". When the Dims voted to "deem portions of Obama Care passed", they voted their "principles". When the Unions call for no spending/entitlement cuts so they can escape the pain they have caused the Nation, they vote their "principles". It looks like the "principled" really want what we got - even more deterioration of society, even more pro-homosexual stances, even more rabid pro-abortion stances, ad infinitum...

Your "rationale" about Romney excludes the salient points - he consistently said that the Constitution should prevail and that States and other entities should be allowed to make their own choices without the Feds intervening. Having an opinion and wanting to force that opinion on others really does set up a true basis for discernment ... for those capable of discerning.

I hate that abercrombie store with its blaring “music” and its bags with nekked heathens on them. Last time I was there, I asked to talk to the manager about the volume of the music and told them it was driving the customers away and I also asked if they didn’t have a bag without a shaved chest on it. I was only there because my then 14 yr old wanted something from there. I cannot stand that place and it is not cool.

Now, that being said about your chosen name, I will respond to your erroneous message. Values is the only thing. Period. In good times and in bad.

This guy’s creds are destroyed by his statement that if the campaigns had been run differently he might have voted for Obama. Anyone who even considered such an action after the last four years and more is either stupid or never went to school.

Yep. It is true. Mitt showed a glimmer of a hope at the first debate- that he really GOT what this fight was about. But then he lost it. It wasn’t Sandy that blew it for him, it was being mediocre. Still, I don’t think people really understand what is coming at them, as a result of letting Obama win.

Time will tell if we all make it out of this mess intact.
