Sorry for the vanity; especially the vanity in Breaking News; however, I thought this important enough that it should receive high visibility.
I have reason to believe that some Staff Judge Advocates and Special Security Officers are looking into the secession petitions at whitehouse.gov
From what I have heard if you are on Active Duty and sign a secession petition, you will be pursued as being in violation of your contract.
SSOs are screening the lists too; you can potentially say goodbye to your security clearance.
Don't do this to be a smart ass, funny, or cute. Understand the gravity of what you are putting your name to.
By all means if you wish to declare yourself at odds with the U.S. Government, and feel strongly enough feel free to do so. However, if you are unhappy with the election, deployment cycles, just think it is all a joke that won't be taken seriously - think again.
Don't ruin everything you worked for and fought for over something so trivial as an online petition...........there are biographers that are Reservist West Point grads for that.
The US Government is at odds with the Oath.

Saying that the government of the United States of America would retaliate against a citizen for a web post that makes the Marxist in our White House look divisive is as absurd as saying that our government would retaliate against an artist for making a trashy Youtube video that offends someone. That just doesn’t happen in a country with the rule of law and a limited, constitutional government.

No need. Anyone who has ever served in the military knows you gave up your 'rights' when you entered into your military contract. In the ol' days they just hanged ya if they doubted your 'intent'.

Not in the military and I have signed several. Wouldn’t if I were a gov employee or military. Big Brother and all. However, for me personally,as a private citizen, I want to be on the enemies list.

signing the petition anonymous or not. The people signing those petitions are afraid, (their country is going towards socialism fast track) in shock and also maybe very brave, patriotic and could see what is coming.. The next civil disobedience will be ideology and that is way worse than race discourse. imo. I hope the USA survives Obama's hard line left punish the producers since he feels America was built unfairly.
