General failure - Senior officers’ ethical collapse
New York Post ^ | November 14, 2012 | RALPH PETERS

Posted on 11/15/2012 10:01:41 PM PST by CaptainKrunch

This is personal. My two decades in the US Army were the centerpiece of my life. I believe in the ethics professed by the officer corps. Yet, I recognize that we mortals are imperfect (I certainly am) and the human heart is the ultimate IED. So while I’m disappointed that Gen. David Petraeus fell for Miss Fatal Attraction 2012, what makes me really angry is his hypocrisy.

Petraeus preached a gospel of perfect virtue — always a foolish move — and became another fallen televangelist.

Nor is it only Petraeus: Misbehavior, double standards and outright criminal acts have become epidemic among our senior officers. There have been dozens of investigations or prosecutions. Our nation’s military leadership is sick.

<snip>

Petraeus has one shot at redemption, though. He’s scheduled to testify on the Hill this Friday. (Put him under oath!) He can do his country a last great service by telling the truth about the Benghazi debacle: What did the president know and when did he know it?

Then there’s Gen. John Allen, the Marine who succeeded Petraeus in Afghanistan. Allen’s the guy who, whenever anything went wrong, blamed our troops and told them they had to “respect Afghan culture” (The rape of little boys? The stoning of women? The rampant corruption?).

The amount of corruption in the so-called leadership of this country during the owebama years is a river that is wide and very deep.

We tried to vote them out but they fraudulently won the election.

Time for a new path. Its not going to be a pretty walk.

“Defense Secretary Leon Panetta — a good man — had to insist that Ward lose at least one star.”

Patooty! Panetta needs to park that jet and keep his butt in DC. The troops can’t fly home to tend their garden and home on a whim.

None of these turds lead by example, they lead like privileged, entitled, pampered snots. That includes the president and his wife.

From the French and Indian Wars up to Vietnam the leaders of the American warrior have factored in the morale of their men. From the camp followers of the early republic thru Gen Hooker providing his name to a certain type of morale booster to the boys in blue, then the R& R's in London, Paris and Australia of the greatest generation. They did not make those training films about STD’s for nothing. Subic Bay wasn't a family vacation. But today, in our PC world, our boys are not allowed to blow off steam like their fathers and grandfathers before them. Instead the perfume princes have restrained their natural inclinations all in the name of not offending Savages. To add insult to injury, these same perfumed princes violated their own rules with imported talent.

How come when the French Foreign Legion brought their own cathouses with them to Algeria in the 19th Century, the local Muslims did not seemed offended. The Muslims were less pious 150 years ago. All this political correctness aimed at our fighting men is to satisfy the sensibilities of domestic leftists who despise the fighting man, not the locals who couldn't give a damn. The locals are probably pissed they missed out on money making opportunities.

Ah.

No one wants to take sides and stand their ground.

Free birth control and birth control(death culture standards) are for men (much as women want to prentend it’s about them). Men have become “non defenders of women”.

Therefore, there is a lot of confusion regarding women and their role.

Arabs have not wavered and are happy to see us floundering in this.

When they see us capitulating, they properly see a way in.

If we could stand a proper Judeo/Christian ground they could appropriately be afraid of/respect us.

Conservatives unite.

Me too.  Leon Panetta is a nefarious character.  Panetta has documented communist associations in his past.  Bing Panetta + communist.  Our government is rife with suspect characters.

For the record I hate Panetta. Peters is correct in assessment about the brass who have dishonored their uniforms, their troops, and their country. I don’t care if he likes Panetta. I do care what this former member of the US military says about people like Petraeus and the other four stars who seem to think they are part of a monarchy and they are the King’s confidants and advisers. It is disgusting. They get paid waaaaay more than the guys who do the fighting. Not a one of them holds a candle to Allen West in my opinion. And their behavior has been sufficiently low life as to qualify them to be forever condemned as DC parasites

I don't know how this is going to be accepted, but is anyone else getting a bit urpy about all of this hair on fire stuff by a military guy that cheated on his wife..

OK I do understand that he is a General, and that he placed himself at risk.. I get it.. However he bounced with another soldier on not some Russian chick named Natasha, or whomever..

This is really sounding like a giant smoke screen.. How are those Sandy victims doing? Have those 4 Americans come back to life, have we gotten the Democrats to admit that they stole the election, is that why we should not get the media to focus 0n that stuff, and not what position those two did it under the desk.. Jus sayin..

No, you're right, it is a smoke screen. MSM is counting on a stupid and easily-distracted public.

We didn't have a real election. Romney ran his race and sweated over the finish line only to see that BO had been picked up and DRIVEN over it miles before. They cheated. Everyone knows it. There was no election. The big danger right now is that thinking Americans will start to say, "If there was no election, then there is no rule of law in this country." MSM's job is to keep people distracted from asking that dangerous question about what now is the legal basis for our society if elections are fraudulent.

If this article is correct (http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/2960126/posts) then it’s not a Russian chick named Natasha, but instead it’s a Middle Eastern chick named Khawam

muslim is the new Russian

Based on the article, she’s not technically muslim, but Lebanese is suspect in my book. And calling yourself a Christian doesn’t make you one. Just like living on US soil doesn’t make you an American.

General Allen supposedly generated 30k emails with a “ bimbo?! She ain’t a bimbo then...Allen is a Marine. He had good reason to be shunting basically the volume of his command communications around/outside the Pentagon to a “bimbo”.....

From these emails, it appears that Ms. Kelley - she of Lebanese heritage and financial woes - is a spy.

“I hope you’ll be serving up a sweet dish for one because I do get famished. Something with some sweet and sour sauce.”

And oh by the way, General - who uses his title on his personal gmail account - can you tell me about the reach of Israeli weapons and the capabilities of the USS Eisenhower?

They are having serious problems with suicides and sexual assaults. The top management does not know what to do about it. They are running around headless. The old timers know what the problem is but no one voices their opinions out loud like before.

They are coming up with these totally useless “fixes”, so far nothing has worked because the underlying problems have not been addressed.

SHARP is a four-hour briefing PLUS another hour or two worth of online, interactive videos and quizzes.

Suicide prevention (can’t remember the whiz-bang title for it) is similar. Plus there’s the anti-terrorism class, the gov’t credit card class, the classified markings class, the information assurance classes, etc.

I was out of Army loop for a year while I went to get my Master’s degree, so I had to do all of these classes back-to-back. It took me about two days.

At least the brass can put it down as an OER bullet and pat themselves on the back for solving all our problems before going off to abuse their power and authority, have numerous affairs, and sexually assault subordinates.

Yes, and Peters (former Sergeant and Lt. Col.) tells it straight.
I have no special insights, but I’m a vet, and think I see a military now run by political generals.

An example is Dempsey, current Chairman of the Joint Chiefs. It was Dempsey who made a personal phone call to that nut in Florida who burns Korans to berate him over the famous video - which Susan Rice says caused the Bengazi murders. What business, I ask, does the Chairman have in calling civilians in Florida to admonish them over anything?

As for Allen, I remember when he took over in Afghanistan he said “we’ve been doing it wrong for 9 years (that would include Petraeus,) but now we’ll get it right.” (Or words to that effect.)

Sorry, that’s my rant for today.

Agreed. I don't like what he did, I don't like the way he did it, I don't like what she did either. They are both soldiers. But...I feel this is not "new" news. Those in high places had to have know about it and been holding it in reserve to drop at the proper time.

Furthermore, I have to wonder about all the supposedly classified info found on her computer. She is/was a Lt. Col. for heavens sake, could she actually be that stupid? I saw the boxes of evidence the FBI said they found in her home. Is the FBI setting our military up? Is our military totally corrupt/stupid? Is the CIA incapable of gathering Intelligence.

This whole thing is like the old engima, wrapped in a mystery, wrapped in a secret. But the point is we are being distracted by the MSM, the question is Benghazi, not who did who. The facts must be presented, we must find out who in the chain of command is ultimately responsible for the unnecessary deaths of our people. The rest of it is just window dressing for the titillation of the masses.

"It frankly scares the sh#% outta me!!!!!"

Have a look at this.  Leon Panetta, first appointed by Bill Clinton, former Director of the CIA, now Secretary of Defense of the United States.  We have very seriously been taken over by communists from within:

Panetta Report 1: Leon Panetta Paid Tribute to Two Longtime Communists

Leon Panetta

In 1983, then Congressman, Leon Panetta, placed a tribute in the Congressional Record to two of his Santa Cruz, California constituents.

The couple, Hugh DeLacy and his wife Dorothy Baskin DeLacy, both had long histories with the  Communist Party USA and were very active in the Santa Cruz “progressive” movement that had helped nurture Congressman Panetta’s career.

Phrases like “social justice” and “dark forces of McCarthyism” rolled from Rep. Panetta’s pen, in a piece that would not have been out of place in the Communist Party’s Peoples Daily World.

Panetta makes it very clear he sympathizes with his constituents’ world view in the last paragraph.

The struggle of the DeLacy’s, their commitment and their integrity, reinforces our own faith and conviction that the cause of social justice will triumph in the end. I commend their work, and i join in their hope and their belief in a better world tomorrow for all of us.

The DeLacy’s were not merely Panetta’ s constituents – they were close personal friends. Hugh DeLacy was also a longtime correspondent with whom Panetta regularly discussed defense and foreign policy issues.

The DeLacys were also not mere Communist Party hacks, or low level time servers.

Jim Forest

Dorothy Baskin, served as a Party organizer in Missouri, Colorado and allegedly California. In Missouri she was sentenced, in 1952, to three years jail under the Smith Act, for conspiring to overthrow the US government by force.

Dorothy DeLacy’s first husband, Jim Forest, was a high level Party functionary in several states. he too was jailed in Missouri and spent some time behind bars, before all the Smith Act convictions were eventually overturned. From 1969 to 1974, Forest toured the world on the Kremlins’ rouble as a Secretary of the Soviet front World Peace Council, before settling back into Communist Party work in San Francisco.

Hugh DeLacy, 1940s

Hugh DeLacy was a covert Communist Party member from at least the early 1940s, including through his 1944-46 term as a Democratic Congressman from Washington State. He  went on to work for the Party in Ohio and California, well into the late 1960s.

It is not known when, or if, Hugh DeLacy ever left the Communist Party. In the 1970s, he was close to a network of former Party members who went on to form the neo-Marxist and pro-Chinese New American Movement. In the 1970s and 1980s, Hugh DeLacy traveled to Communist China, Sandinista controlled Nicaragua and to Lisbon, to meet with senior officials of the Portuguese Communist Party.

Listen, I’m not trying to minimize this atrocity, because it is awfully dangerous, and stupid, but in the scheme of things, it’s a loud noise..

What we should be concerned about is the systemic failure of our government to provide our country with the security of our system of governess that insures it’s citizens that we live within the rules of established laws, and are safe from our enemies, foreign and domestic.. Everything else is an extension of those safeguards..

What is so frightening is that we now know, we can’t even trust our election system, the most basic foundation of continued liberty and justice.. If that wasn’t enough to stop the presses, nothing will ever be..

I am beginning to believe is whether it’s by plan, or such gross incompetence, we are being deluged with failures in every facet of our lives, all at the same time..

It’s like a massive power grid trip, and all of the alarms are flashing, and buzzing and flashing, that we don’t know where to start to stop it! But we do, or should know that if we don’t get a handle on it, we’re finished..

No more coffee..
