Of course, the DEM always wins in close races. I’m so sick of this. Right now, I don’t think I’ll ever vote again. What’ the point? I don’t live in CA, but this is a pattern nationwide, is it not?

The eclipse of an old era and darkness overshadows the largest state in the nation.

Excerpt:

“He is currently in Washington for an orientation course for new lawmakers, which incidentally is being led by Lungren. Bera would be only the third Indian-American to have ever been elected to the House of Representatives after Dalip Singh Saund in the 1950s, and Mr Bobby Jindal in 2005 and 2008, who is now the Governor of Louisiana.”

Another Republican loses in a recount, what is that like 100%?

In just 15 years California went from having a republican governor and 24 republican representatives to a democrat super majority in the state government and only 15 republicans left in the house. The rest of the country better beware...

Is it just me, or does this thread seem to be more poignant than most others of the type, at least to some of us?

I haven’t been particularly impressed by Lundgren over the years, not that I want to see a D take his seat.

I’d be interested in hearing other people’s impressions of him. I don’t live in his district, so I don’t consider myself to be an expert on him by any means.

Pretty much, with the exception of Bush and that took the Supremes stepping in.

Yep... CA always seems to be the 15-year forward outlook as to what the rest of the country will look like.

And it ain`t pretty.

Yes, I think the Democrats had planned to steal Fl. and were outraged that they couldn’t do it.

More and more will say, as you have, what is the point in voting? For months we are told that EVERY vote counts. But then obvious cheating barely gets a reaction, much less outrage.Every vote cast illegally, erases a legally cast one. So we get a mixed message. BEFORE the election one vote, every vote is crucial, but AFTER the election, let bygones be bygones. This WILL suppress the vote.

This isn't a recount, it's the count - California still isn't remotely close to being done counting votes the first time; still over 1,700,000 votes left.

One of the main reasons Romney will end up with more votes than McCain, and turnout for Obama will end up not being down much from 2008, incidentally.

Good.
We don’t need Republican holdouts in California.
It’s failing as a state, and only when 100% of statewide elected positions, ALL OF THEM, are DemocRAT, will the failure be apparent for the rest of the US.
