Benghazi hearing turns ugly: Republicans accuse Obama of lying, Dems fire back

A House Foreign Affairs hearing on "Benghazi and Beyond" quickly turned into a shouting and accusations forum.

Naturally, Democrats responded. It began rather timidly and escalated.
"Barack Obama was no more responsible for what happened in Benghazi than George Bush was for Sept. 11th or Ronald Reagan was for the blowing up of U.S. Marines in Beirut," Rep. Eliot Engle (D-NY) said.
Rep. Gary Ackerman (D-NY) unloaded, first sarcastically: "Let's just hang the guilty parties."
"The stench of hypocrisy that hangs over this city today emanates from this room," Ackerman said. "I've listened to my colleagues talk about the President of the United States and others in the administration using [the] terms 'deliberate', 'lies', 'unmitigated gall', 'malfeasance,' which is malicious and knowing evil-doing, 'disgust', 'coverups'."

Both the Beirut and 9/11 attacks were bombings that took only minutes to accomplish. Behghazi went on for hours and hours.. Beirut and 9/11 had NO ONE calling repeatedly for more security prior to them happening. You can try covering for your buttboy all you want but the truth is he is a lousy Commander in Chief and could not lead his way out of a building with a map!
Hmmmm....I seem to recall “Dems” saying those things about President Bush...for 8 years...along with the media...along with the media leaks..Oh and didn’t Dems go along with calling Petraeus “Betraeus”.

Glad to see the GOP is attacking and quite frankly calling things by their rightful names. The Dems are obviously scared.

Lots of DemocRATS and liberaltarians would take that statement as equating Obama's role with that of Bush.
What if the responders to the 9/11 World Trade Center bombings had waited 8 hours to enter the building?
yeah it’s great to see the republicans posturing for the cameras like this. The trouble is that they dont believe in what they’re saying. And because of that they will collapse into their own rhetoric. I do not yet believe mccains ‘outrage’ because he has not yet stood up to the media and fire back with the strong arguments of a man who truly believes what he’s saying. So all this outrage is going to fade into nothing.

And THAT is the stark stark difference. And hitting the campaign trail in the wake of such an attack.
President Bush left a national security system practically giftwrapped for the incoming administration, plugging holes and eliminating deficiencies where they were found. Cerainly far better than the one he was handed in 2001.
And this clown doesn’t even attend 60% of he briefings!! That is dereliction of duty. How DARE they compare him to Bush or Reagan in the same sentence, other than attacks happened on his watch.
Kudos to Greta Van Sustern on her show last Night . Greta is not known as a Conservative and she is the only Host I Have seen on TV ask the Question of What was the CIA doing In Benghazi? Were they Running Guns to the Syrian Rebels?
She asked this of the supposed Right wing attack dog Dana Rohrbacher Representative from Californis,Yeah the same one who yesterday called Obama a Liar about this Coverup. But even Mr. Attack dog ran for the tall Hills when Greta asked that one.
Folks this dog and Pony Show we are Watching is a Massive Coverup,and BOTH sides Know what Happened and NO one wants to go there. The public is so used to being led by the ring in their Nose they cant even awake from their Stupor and their Brainwashers and think Critically and ask that same question that Greta asked and she has been grappling with for some time,Why would people make up such stupidity about a Video,What was Stephens and the CIA doing in the hot Bed of Alqueda,Benghazi? Greta hit it,They were running Guns to the Syrian rebels,Alqueda Jihadists. That is the rosetta Stone here folks all this why did No One Help,Blah Blah Blah,
Why are we arming the Jihadists that are trying to Destroy us? Because Obama wants to Help in creating the Caliphate for the Muslim Brotherhood. He would love to keep talking about the sex scandal with Petraeus,or his poor UN ambassador Susan Rice. Wake up folks
