Susan Rice was not lying but put a “softer touch” on the September 11 attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, Sen. Saxby Chambliss (R-Ga.) said Friday.
"I'm not saying she lied, I'm just saying she didn't tell [the truth],” Chambliss said on MSNBC. “She put a softer touch on what the real facts were. That's not lying.”

Spoken like a politician who may not be able to distinguish truth from lies anymore....The intent was to deceive, so she WAS too lying.

Obama said that he called it a terrorist attack right away. He also said don’t attack rice but go after him because he sent her out with the info. Therefore BOTH rice and obama lied to the american people.
What is it with this cowardice about saying the word “lie”?
Boy, they sure know how to ruin a good phrase - first the words liberal, compassion, then gay, now softer touch is a lib euphemism.
Reminds me of how the great Clinton’s Big Media cheerleaders would tell us in advance which defenses he would use in order to prepare us for new truths, like “it was a private, personal affair” (except for Petraeus) and “oral sex isn’t sex”.

Curiously, information was released yesterday that former CIA Director Petraeus will testify that he knew it was (B) almost immediately.

And didn’t she also say something to the father of one of the SEALs at the ceremony about the film maker that looking back now means that she already knew it wasn’t because of the film? And Didn’t Hilllary also make some video commercials blaming the you tube video?
A lie is a lie. A “softer touch” of the truth is a lie. An omission is a lie.
What in the world? Do any Chambliss staffers read this site? If so, could you tell us if he’s having some sort of medical problem or if he’s always been ‘off’ but you’ve managed to keep it hidden.
This is really ridiculous.
NOTHING is a “lie” for this administration.
“Hussein cannot tell a lie” has always been the story, because he (NOW, since last month) acts PRESIDENTIAL.
