Whatever it is’: Pelosi says she’s ‘with the Constitution,’ confuses its amendments [VIDEO]

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi took questions from reporters at her weekly press briefing about the fiscal cliff, but turned the topic to baseball.

A reporter asked Pelosi if she thinks the fiscal cliff and debt ceiling will be included in one “grand bargain” between the White House and congressional leaders.

“Well, me, I’m with the 11th Amendment, is it the 11th Amendment that – 14th is it? Whatever it is, I’m with the Constitution of the United States. Now, we have to talk about baseball,” Pelosi told reporters at the Capitol on Thursday.

I doubt anyone is surprised at the indifference Nancy Pelosi shows our United States Constitution...her vagary on that magnificent document, which she swore to protect is beyond capricious...it high-lights her vapidity.

I had never before paid attention to the 11th Amendment and am wondering why it came about.

What she is trying to say, in her bimbo way of expression, is that Obama can seize dictatorial powers at any time to raise taxes or extend the debt limit according the their interpretation of the 14th amendment.

11th Amendment:"The Judicial power of the United States shall not be construed to extend to any suit in law or equity, commenced or prosecuted against one of the United States by Citizens of another State, or by Citizens or Subjects of any Foreign State."

Meaning we can't sue Massachusetts or California for their idiocy.

And then she went on to say:

“On the front of our uniforms is team USA,” she continued, “and we have to work together for our country to continue to be No. 1 and prevail, and that hopefully they [freshman members] will find a way to do that. It wasn’t like this before: Even when President [George W.] Bush was president, we worked with him. This is a new phenomenon that a party would say to the president, ‘Never, does never work for you? Because that’s when we’re going to cooperate.’”

11th Amendment - Immunity of states from suits from out-of-state citizens and foreigners not living within the state borders. Lays the foundation for sovereign immunity

14th Amendment - Defines citizenship, contains the Privileges or Immunities Clause, the Due Process Clause, the Equal Protection Clause, and deals with post-Civil War issues
