Chris Christie: Romney's 'Gifts' Comments 'Divisive'
Yahoo ^

Posted on 11/16/2012 12:32:51 PM PST by Arthurio

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie on Friday added his name to a growing list of Republicans who are rebuking Mitt Romney over his “gifts” comments.

“You can't expect to be a leader of all the people and be divisive,” said Christie on MSNBC’s Morning Joe when asked if he agreed with fellow Republican Gov. Bobby Jindal of Louisiana, who was one of the first to criticize the former GOP nominee over the comments.

In a conference call with donors Wednesday, Romney said that minorities and young people voted for Obama because he offered them “gifts.”

Said Christie: “You have to talk about themes, policies that unite people. And play to their aspirations and their goals and their hopes for their family and their neighbors. And I always think this is scapegoating after elections. When you lose, you lost."

Both of these RINOs need to just shut up and go away.

Christie’s finished electorally because of his actions. And Romney and his incompetent staff of RINOs should never run a conservative campaign again.

I find these Governors, whom I used to respect, kicking Romney when he is down, over a foolish issue--foolish on their part, because truth is not really divisive; buying votes is!--nothing more than cheap maneuvering for personal advancement in the future.

We need to stop shooting at people more or less on our side. Our very future is under direct attack from the Administration, and that must be the subject for concentrated effort & attention.

See Obama Or America.

Divisive = Honest

Same with the 47% comment. I am a NJ voter. I liked what Christie was doing with this state, but I didn't want him on a national ticket. Now I see why.
He'll have to win re-election in NJ without my vote. Let the people here have another Corzine, McGreevey, or Florio. Who knows how long I'll be in Jersey anyway.

These weak-kneed people are ignoring the facts. Call it whatever you want, but this is exactly what happened.

In the calendar year, the executive branch acted on the following:

1 - They created a new mandate for ‘free’ contraception for women. It is something never before mandated. It is not free because rates will go up because of this mandate. It infringed on religious organizations. When opponents complained about those facts, the #waronwomen narrative was born. This was all by design.

2 - A day after North Carolina voted down a marriage amendment, Obama changed his previous position on gay marriage. His statement changed nothing, because it is not a federal issue, but it motivated both gay voters and other left-leaning voters who were previously disillusioned with this president. It also raised hollywood cash.

3 - Despite doing NOTHING on immigration reform when there was a Democratic majority, Obama implemented a version of the Dream Act without congressional input. When people complained, they were viciously attacked as anti-hispanic or anti-immigrant. This was used as a club to bash Romney and the GOP all year.

4 - Student loans and health care for younger voters....free stuff.

Each group WAS pandered to during this election cycle and each of these groups turned out in big numbers in November. What’s the argument here?

Joe Scarborough was following Christie around at the RNC convention like a little fan girl. Look for him to be pushing Christie as the GOP pick for the next 4 years.

The phenomenon unfolding is that evil is now called “good” and visa versa. That this has worked and is working is so astounding that I have concluded that something is at work, here, that is greater than politics. This may be the onset of the last battle, truly the one between good and evil. What else can be such a destroyer except God allows it.

Not that Republicans have the corner on truth and goodness, but have thrown it away with both hands on many occasions.

There are no sound minds left who haven’t already been bound and marginalized, cast out and ridiculed and banished from the town square.

Yup!! Plain and simple... it’s the truth.

There isn’t a Conservative on earth who could do anything remotely like this and get away with it.

I'm through with Christie. Whatever promise I saw in him as a possible future nominee has dissolved with his gratuitous post-Sandy shenanigans.

Christie should have kept a low profile. Any hopes he had of being a candidate for POTUS on the GOP-E ticket in 2016 are gone - just as gone as the American economy, thanks to his buddy zero.

Laurel and Hardy.

Romney DID make a mistake with those comments and clearly it was not the ONLY mistake he made in the past year or so.

HOWEVER, Christie’s crictizisms of him, unlike the constructive comments made by other GOP politicians was CLEARLY as self-srving as that stab-in-the-back photo op with Obozo.

Its important for us to learn from our mistakes and recognize that they WERE mistakes and not defects in our basic political philosophy. The Democrats want us to believe the LATTER, even though we KNOW it is the former.

I am 3,000 miles away from this fat slob. but I will most certainly donate to whomever runs against him... and that would include a looney democrat.

Chris Christie is a disgusting RINO.
