Chris Christie: Romney's 'Gifts' Comments 'Divisive'
Yahoo ^

Posted on 11/16/2012 12:32:51 PM PST by Arthurio

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie on Friday added his name to a growing list of Republicans who are rebuking Mitt Romney over his “gifts” comments.

“You can't expect to be a leader of all the people and be divisive,” said Christie on MSNBC’s Morning Joe when asked if he agreed with fellow Republican Gov. Bobby Jindal of Louisiana, who was one of the first to criticize the former GOP nominee over the comments.

In a conference call with donors Wednesday, Romney said that minorities and young people voted for Obama because he offered them “gifts.”

Said Christie: “You have to talk about themes, policies that unite people. And play to their aspirations and their goals and their hopes for their family and their neighbors. And I always think this is scapegoating after elections. When you lose, you lost."

Christie knows what I know now.
The 47% will become the 56%!
Depending more and more on Gov handouts he has to stay in the loop and pacify the welfare nuts as he is up for re-election in 2 years.
By expanding his voter base to liberal progressives it does not matter if he loses the conservative vote because because 56% beats 44%.
If he can win re-election in 2. HE can then run for pres with the Liberal vote hopefully in his pocket.
Oh I guess that means yea we conservatives were thrown under the bus!

Even though I liked the way he kicked butt and took no stuff, there was something that made me skeptical about Christie (couldn’t figure out why I didn’t trust him like Ann Coulter said I should).

Well, over the last few weeks, he’s been revealing why he deserves no trust from any of us — over and over again.

Say Ann, how do you like your golden boy now?

Also wanted to add that, truth be told, I’ve heard much more so-called divisive talk come from Christie’s lips. Never once heard him come close to “can’t we all just get along” as he is now doing.

Glad he’s exposed himself as wishy-washy and squishy before anyone else (no thanks Ann!) got the not-so-bright idea he’s a great candidate for POTUS.

Wow! So now telling the truth is “divisive”.

No wonder the GOP is the stupid, and now dead, party.

Really Chris? You don't see Obama as divisive?

Christie is turning out to be like Crist of FL. Both have found a new BFF -- Obama.

Christie is positioning himself, he thinks, for a run in 2016.

They didn’t run one this time. It was such a top down organization it was doomed to fail. Tells me a Romney presidency would have been just as bad.

Look at the Congressional representation in OH, PA, WI, etc. Overwhelmingly GOP.

Where was the ground game?

If Christie can’t use his toughlove act (which is wearing thin down here in the south) in a campaign for president, then I don’t want him as my candidate.

I will vote for Gary Johnson or even Rosanne Barr for that matter if this guy is the GOP Nominee.

They were also not true. Romney needs to stop talking. Christie was right. Romney lost because more people voted for President Obama than voted for him. And he is a sore loser. He lost with no grace or dignity. Please make him shut up.

Either that or he has sold out to Obama and has been promised a gravy position in the New World Order. May G-d damn his soul either way. He is dead to me and I dare say anyone in NJ with any integrity.
