Susan Rice's miserable record at the UN (You want her to be Secretary of State?)
Fox News ^ | 11/15/2012 | Richard Grenell

Most reporters haven’t been following Ambassador Susan Rice’s performance at the United Nations since her appointment in January 2009. To many journalists, Rice’s misleading interviews on the five Sunday Shows the weekend after the 9/11/12 terrorist attacks that killed U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and three others were one of the first times they had heard from her. To veteran foreign policy observers, Rice’s shameful performance that Sunday was one of many blunders over the last four years. Rice’s refusal to answer questions about why she blamed the Benghazi violence on a YouTube video was met Wednesday with a feisty defense from President Obama saying don’t blame Rice because the White House sent her out to do the Sunday shows. The “stop picking on Susan” retort from the president looked like a big brother defending his little sister on the playground. It was an odd moment for a woman wanting to be America’s top diplomat. Obama’s spirited warnings to Republicans to leave Rice alone appeared to be a sign that the White House is shielding Rice from answering further questions about her performance.

The case against Susan Rice has been building for years with little fanfare. Not surprising, the mainstream media reporters based at the UN have either ignored her mistakes or strategically covered them up.

The Washington Post’s UN reporter Colum Lynch even wrote a glowing profile of Rice on September 23 – a week after her Sunday shows debacle – where he didn’t mention the Libya controversy until the 13th paragraph (a Washington Post staffer told me that editors had to add language about the Libya controversy to the piece).

Rice’s diplomatic failures and silence in the face of outrageous UN antics have given the United States pathetic representation among the 193 members of the world body.

Even if her performance had been followed, no one would dare say anything negative about it.

The administration intentionally made Rice the face of Benghazi for the express purpose of creating the racist straw man argument. Stupid Pubbies fall for it every time. Republicans should have asked her why the hell she was there since she speaks for neither the State Department nor the CIA and sent her happy ass on its merry way.

Could she do any worse than the present Sec. of State?

And any pronouncements she makes have been approved by the White House.

This administration has made a point of selecting incompetent and corrupt people for high posts, they only have to be sufficiently controversial and far left.

It all depends how you look at what she’s done. If you are in favor of a worldwide islamic caliphate, and radical muslims getting nukes, she’s been great.

Perhaps we should revisit how Ambassador Bolton was treated!!!!

Ambassador Bolton*

And then we can discuss how the Democrats staged their own coup by denying recess appointments, A CONSTITUTIONALLY LISTED EXECUTIVE POWER by holding small Senate sessions.

You need a recess to make recess appointments

But Obama's appointment of Cordray using his "recess appointment" powers is an equally dangerous, equally unprecedented act. Why? Well, the Senate is technically not in "recess." Thus, no recess appointments.

During the closing days of the George W. Bush administration, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid began holding so-called pro forma sessions when the Senate would typically be on vacation. He staged these short sessions -- in which a senator gavels in and gavels out, usually in about 30 seconds -- to deny Bush the chance to make recess appointments.

Back in 2007, Reid called recess appointments of controversial nominees "an end run around the Senate and the Constitution," although they are clearly permitted in the text. In 2008, he said "we don't let [Bush] have recess appointments because they are mischievous." And in 2005, Reid said the recess appointment of John Bolton as U.N. ambassador was an "abuse of power."

Doesn’t matter if rice is competent. She enjoys the same protection as her boss. Within the USA, she can not be criticized under penalty of being called a racist.
