I voted for McClintock when he was running for Governor in the California primary.

He’s actually a conservative, and not a GOP fraud pretending to be one.

He works hard at his job and is something of an expert on the boring subject of finance.

We need to make a list of the GOP stooges and phony-cons who refused to back Tom McC because they wanted someone more like themselves, Arnold Schwarzenegger. You know, a squish and a fraud.

First name on the list:

Hugh Hewitt.

“I have read California state constitution,” he said. “There’s not a word in it that requires California to be governed by idiots forever."

lmao. Tom's my guy for any position he seeks.

“Tom McClintock: Sequestration is the only way to cut spending”

Unfortunately, he’s right.

Not going to see any kind of legislation by agreement that cuts spending from this Congress, for at least two more years.

Maybe four.

Maybe never.

You are 100% correct. It is sad to see so many on FR cheerleading for sequestration (I.e. The gutting of our military). Damn fools.

“It’s a good thing you finally recanted your position re: voting on your FR home page because I was beginning to question YOUR sanity!!!”

Humorous you should write that. I didn’t “recant” anything....I caved in and violated my own beliefs. I’m not particuliarly proud of doing so.

Romney was a poor choice that should never have been made by the GOP. It was just that, at the end, even Romney was better than Obama. However, I wasted my time voting for Romney...as the current situation shows. I think/hope we will be wiser and do better in the future.

WE MUST have a REAL and BALANCED CONSERVATIVE candidate from the GOP in 2016. They need to be all three legs of conservatism - Social, National Defense, Fiscal

Sequestration might also be the best way to lay it on Zero’s desk - he signed it into law almost a year and a half ago. Repubs can merely say they respect his wisdom and integrity and have decided to allow the law he signed to be carried out without them getting into a partisan bicker-fest...

“Arnold supporters have the audacity to say that a vote for Tom McClintock is a vote for Bustamante”

Again, GOP toady Hugh Hewitt comes to mind.
