It appears Jean Saintilus bit off more than he could chew.
After chanting and smashing a coconut in the middle of a dead-end road, police say, the 27-year-old man opened his hand and showed baffled officers his brother-in-law's severed pinky finger.

The name and the photograph look Haitian.
I lived in south Florida during the first wave of Haitian immigration during the late 1970’s.
They were really wonderful people then, gentle, hard working, friendly.
And they recognized the cultural situation almost instantly.
In other words, the first time they met you they would explain, like five times, that “We are not American Blacks.”
According to my Dad, all that has changed.
Now, they are just one more Hard Left angry immigrant group.
