Evidence available on Hispanic public opinion from an election eve ImpreMedia/Media Decisions (slogan: “Everything Latino politics”) poll makes clear that Hispanics are a fairly liberal voting group. Just 12 percent supported a cuts-only approach to deficit reduction. Only 25 percent want to repeal Obamacare. Only 31 percent said they’d be more likely to vote for a Republican who supports the DREAM Act. Memo to the GOP: Hispanics do not reward Republicans with majority support on amnesty.

The Republicans will never get the majority of hispanics to vote for them unless they turn into the sugar daddy party. There are more freeloaders than working Americans in this country and that's why ZERO win the election. Boehner and the rest of the RINOs could start tearing down the Southern border today and it means nothing. And those stats cited above prove it. Hispanics vote for free handouts, the exact same way the vast majority of blacks do. End of story.

There was an article recently of a poll in CA of American born hispanics. Only 7% cited immigration reform as their top issue in voting. Most cited that Democrats "care more" about people like them. It also noted that, again, American born (not illegals) Hispanics were more than twice as likely to use welfare programs as non-hispanics. Pubs who think amnesty is going to make Hispanics love them are fools.

Yes not to mention that studies have shown only about 20% of these people will ever come out of the shadows. Most of them have no interest in becoming American citizens. They are just here for the perks and to make money to send back home.

Plus I think for every hispanic that they may or may not get, they are going to lose one or more of those accursed white guys. So if this is the hill the GOP wishes to die on, then by all means.

So infuriating. Why even talk about “hispanics” as if these are Hispanic Americans? They are all citizens of other countries, not this one. They didn’t just sprout here as “immigrants”.

And the GOP will absolutely destroy itself with amnesty.

Heck, why not just have China send 300 poor “immigrants” over they have plenty of poor ones, and it will only be fair to make this a Chinese province.

We better wake the hell up.

Right, they just lost an election because of previous amnesties and illegals. So give them 30 million more votes? Morons.

The GOP is morally and politically bankrupt. They talk only about elections and getting rid of an issue. They could care less whether this is bad for America.

Amnesty was NOT an issue in the election because Obama would never dare bring it up to white voters. So the GOP will now alienate those voters for Obama! Insanity.

When is the treatment of American citizens in Mexico and their rights vs US treatment of Mexicans going to be an issue when we discuss amnesty ?

Ever hear of reciprocal aggrements ? These are arranged to protect the rights of American citizens working or living in other countries.

Why is it when it comes to citizens of other countries we are required to offer them the same privledges as we do to US citizens? But when it comes to US citizens who get in trouble or attempt to do business in other countries they do not get the same treatment their citizens get.

Americans can’t own coast land in Mexico. And get no title to it elsewhere. If they run out of cash they’ll get unceremoniously sent back or put in jail untill some relative comes up with the “fresh”. That’s just for starters as for granting them voting privledges yea let’s give Mexican citizens that right when American citizens vote in their elections .

Why not begin addressing this in a micro fashion instead of solving everything overnight...start with making English the official language of the Country. Then the next small step.
We’ll get where we want to be if we consistently and persistently take the baby steps to forge ahead.
