Exploding Daisy-Cutter Hot
The American Spectator ^ | 11/17/2012 | Daniel J. Flynn

Women love a man in a uniform. Men love a woman out of a uniform. Old verities stand affirmed by the intelligence that ousted the director of the Central Intelligence Agency.

General David Petraeus commanded U.S. forces in Afghanistan. But what man is really in command when face-to-face with a determined Paula Broadwell? The author of the appropriately titled "All In" conquered Petraeus in a way that neither the Taliban nor al Qaeda could. Terrorists aren't the only ones who target generals.

Broadwell gives new meaning to "hagiographer." The overused term, which 99 percent of the time tells us more about the reader's bias toward the subject than the writer's, for once doesn't go far enough. Not since Maya Angelou finished the last of her six autobiographies has a biographer worshipped a subject so completely.

And it's not hard to see what the general saw in the comely camp follower.

Who becomes homecoming queen and valedictorian? Paula Broadwell does.

Every time I go in the locker room of a local gym, I am reminded how gross the male body usually is and I’m amazed any women are attracted to us.

Newsflash from a woman: the secret no one will tell is that in general, women are not attracted to male bodies. They are mostly attracted by the power that they have to attract men. Women crave attention. We are attracted to faces, and attracted by charisma and charm, but bodies - even “good” bodies - not so much.

Ain't that the truth. That's why men like virgins...anything else is just too gross to think about.

That said, I think Paula was more attracted to the General's uniform. He was just another trophy on her wall.

Can you imagine how much damage such a statement could do to the Health Club and Gym Industry.;-)

On the other hand, some smart, entrepreneurial women could make a fortune opening up charm and charisma schools for men.

Impossible to teach charisma. Charm, which is half cultural and half personal, could be taught if you started with children. By the time males reach adulthood, it’s too late.
But don’t despair. As Oscar Wilde commented: “ no man is so vile that some woman will not love him.”

I like women in red. I like women in leather. I like women in jeans. I like women with old fashion hairdos and attire. I like women with guns.... ok, and real guns too. ;>)

I like women that like to play outside and women that like playing in the dirt. I like women that know how to cook.

I like smart women and women that laugh at my humor. I like sexy women, but not tramps. I like women in...., I like women, oh heck, I just like women.

I married a woman that I described and we remain newlyweds after 40 wonderful years.... No, I have never cheated on her, but certainly could have.

Petraeus may be one heck of a military tactician, but he has proven himself a fool. In my view, his taste in women is horrible. Broadwell may be attractive to some, but I find her ugly, inside and out.

Petraeus may be a genius in some things, but he has shown that he is dumber than a box of rocks. The top guy of the CIA can’t hide an affair... I find that hilarious.

Beautiful. Worth the price of admission alone.

Yes and no. I think she actually fell in love with him for his mind...which may have been pro-American before Obama got hold of him.

Their “affair” was very brief (actually, I’m not sure he was even still in the military at that point) but Obama’s minions found out about it because this is a typical Obama tactic: find some personal dirt, hold it, and then use it to destroy.

Nobody knows where she is now. Her father said this was not about sex at all and I think he’s right.

As for the famous e-mails to the flake and possible Arab spy Jill Kelley, they seemed to mention something that she had done (not necessarily sexual) to some unnamed man (not necessarily Petraeus). There were only two people who had access to that account: Broadwell and Petraeus. They had set it up to exchange documents easily, sort of like an impromptu Evernote account, because she was working on her doctorate. (Somebody else could have hacked it, however, because it was not secure in any way.)

Before she disappeared, Broadwell said she had not sent the e-mail. So who sent it, and to what did it refer?

I had not heard that. Do you have a source? I would love to read more.

BTW, Paula was at her brother's home last week in the Mt Pleasant area of DC...she accidentally lost her driver's license on a run (I presume) in Rock Creek Park.

Men love a woman out of a uniform.

Literally, one supposes.

Though I'm very attracted to women in uniform.

I once worked on a film scene that had a female Army officer in it. I could barely keep my eyes off her in uniform. Though once the scene had wrapped, and she was now back in civies, I don't think I would have given her a second look.

It was reported in various press sources before she went incommunicado.

She lost her driver’s license on a run and hasn’t been seen since she discussed this with reporters.

Normally, a lost drivers’ license is sent back to the DMV, but this time it was turned over to the FBI. I think you can interpret this as something that could have been of criminal importance. However, she was obviously alive at that point and came out to say something about it, but I don’t think she’s been seen since.

She’s probably alive, but may be hiding, since her father said this has nothing to do with an affair and there’s something much more serious involved in this (which I believe). On the other hand, given how corrupt things are, she may be “preparing” her testimony with Susan Rice.
