I have to admit that when Obama “won” re-election I became more depressed than Madonna’s audience was when they were forced to watch her strip the other night. For God’s sake, Madonna, put some material on that mess, material girl. I guess she’s going to follow Cher’s path and torture us with her exhibitionism ‘til she takes the big dirt nap. Like a virgin? Yeah … right. More like a sturgeon. Hang it up, Madge … you’re scaring the children. Anyway, back to my post-election depression.
As I was saying, giddy I was not that Obama secured a second term via Fieldworks, entitlement mooks and the sponge-brained propaganda swillers of the ludicrous Left … but he did. And for that I must concede that if there is a God and this God is defined by the contents of the sacred Scripture, then this God must be really ticked off at the U.S. because He allowed, in His sovereignty, for us to be saddled with four more years of an administration that blows worse than Hurricane Sandy.
Yep, for those who take their cue from the Bible, you must have noticed that anytime God wanted to wake His wayward nation the heck up because they were belligerently ignoring His statutes, He usually appointed a crappy leader who brought their nation down to Chinatown through bad dictates.
Sure, God sometimes plagued His contumacious people with frogs or hemorrhoids or let enemy nations batter them unmercifully, but on many occasions He simply let them be governed by a daft king, some Moronosaurus Rex who ignored God’s ways and led Israel into a moral and economic ditch. That’s right. You heard me. God allowed it to happen. Not El Diablo, but God.
Personally, I don’t know why God hasn’t whooshed us completely off the map by now. I do know that if He doesn’t kick our backside for us showing Him our backside that—forgive me Lord—He owes Sodom and Gomorrah a big apology.
So, what can we do? Here are five musts that’ll get us on a decent footing with our compass pointing true north again.
1. As people of faith, we can quit sucking our thumb in the fetal position and wetting our big Christian diaper. God never promised us a rose garden—especially when our nation snubs its nose at His commands. It’s going to get rough, so I suggest putting on a cup and quit crying like a wuss.
2. Before we go on whining and moaning about the Left’s wantonness, we’d better make dang certain that our house is in order, eh Church Lady?
3. We might want to recommit our lives to God and our God-honoring founding docs and not give any wannabe leader who does not hold our Constitution in the highest esteem, on the left or right, our hearts and votes. Duh.
4. All the Pollyanna Christians out there who voted for this anti-biblical mess, you should be ashamed and hit yourself in the head with a sledgehammer. Repeatedly.
5. Lather, rinse and repeat steps one through four.
Look, the only hope I hold out for America is that God, at the end of the day, is extremely merciful. And therein lies my solitary confidence because we deserve to get our clock cleaned for how we’ve behaved and not receive a second chance.
In my obnoxious opinion I believe He’s going to allow us to sweat it for a few more years just to be certain that our repentance isn’t specious and our commitment to His governance is steadfast. I think that He thinks we’re full of it and truly don’t want to go His way, and the only way to ferret us out is to see if we’ll stick with His program over time or if we will simply cave in and bow and kiss the ring of stale statism.
And that, my friend, is a story that’s yet to be told.

If you read your Bible, you will learn that each time man’s will has came in conflict with God’s will, God has allowed man to have his way. The results have always resulted in disaster for man. What is God’s will? What is man’s purpose? The answer to both questions are in the Bible.
Excellent way of presenting truth.
Only complaint is, regardless of how bad our nation gets, I don’t think we can ever say God must do something that we think He should do because He’s done it in the past. His ways are past finding out - and He seems to be creative in his judgments on rebellious man..... He is God.....
II Chron. 7:14
No question that O is God’s judgment on our nation.....and He gave us a chance to repent with his first election....but no, we collectively gave Him the finger and said, “NO! We want MORE of this!”
So God says, “Ok....”
Perhaps, like God said to Abraham about Sodom, there are just enough repenting, true Christians here, humbling ourselves and crying out to him that the big hammer is yet being withheld a bit longer.....

I’ve said for some time that America now has the equivalent of Ahab and Jezebel, whom the Lord allowed and ultimately removed.
We’re supposed to pray for our leaders, so I pray that Bammy is deposed, ala Ahab. Michelle should watch out for that family dog!
The east coast got a bit of judgment a few weeks ago. New Orleans got judgment seven years ago and again right to the day, got hit again. We are in droughts here that we have not seen in decades. We have floods in one state, no rain in the state next too it. The only thing that I have yet to see is God’s hand on cities like San Francisco and Seattle. Those being big earthquake cities, I have thought that their judgment is going to be the BIG ONE. That may come soon. Washington just passed gay marriage and free drug use. Kaliforniastan already acts this way. Their judgments are coming. And, I am soooooooooooo glad that we left WA state six years ago. We are free now back home in Alabama. Gotta go, church starts in 30 minutes.
While I agree with the sentiment the premise is untrue
Father God is Soveriegn and NEVER has to apologize.
What he does is always Righteous and True.
He punishes evil and he is Just.
God needs NEVER apoligize.
So God had no hand in the formation of the USA or what direction as a country we take.... We as a nation are just individuals that have no responsibility to where our leaders take this country... ? I think not...

God set this nation on a course for righteousness.. To be a beacon for liberty, freedom and most importantly to promulgate this Gospel around the world...
His hand was most certainly on us...to show his love to the world... He has

God doesn’t have to apologize to anybody. He can choose who he will as vessels of honor or destruction.
God has made it clear that He IS the judge. Jesus told us to “resist not evil” and we keep spinning our wheels instead of performing our small taskings - Love God with all that we are, Love our neighbors as ourselves, and Carry the Word of the Gospel. It has already been decided that Evil will gain and keep the upper hand on this Earth until such time as He comes back to settle the score.
The scripture says judgment begins first with the household of God. Before the US is judged, the church will be judged with a severe persecution. And following Communist Russia's example, the average church will dwindle from 300 to 15.

I believe that we are getting ripe for judgement. However, it won’t be like Sodom with complete destruction. In Sodom there was no minyan, no righteous left, unlike here.

That judgement ensured an Obama win, you would think God would been nice enough to have waited another week or two. Plus in the grand scheme of things Sandy was for the most part weak and over-hyped. It wasn't even a Hurricane, ya think if God wanted to show judgment he would have at least threw a category 3 at them.

Yet the strip clubs in NO were the only area unaffected and San Fransisco lives.
BTW what did the poor people in Galveston in 1906 do to deserve even worse "judgement" than the above?

If this nation turns away from killing innocent life....if this nation turns from glorifying celebrity.....wealth....gay marriage.....etc. I say bring it. Let God’s judgement rain down and turn hearts towards Him. The Church has done a lousy job of showing true love, mercy, grace, compassion....the church instead has watered Jesus down so not to make Him so offensive to American culture and lifestyle and even embraced that which is vile. All that matters is that God be glorified.

Absolutely. We can’t expect to be a nation that makes Sodom look like Mayberry and deserve God’s blessings—even if we decide to nuke Iran for Israel. Americans need to be reminded that Jesus is also the guy with the whip, turning over tables in the temple and not just the peaceful hippie with a lamb and some children.
Sadly, you don't seem to have a grasp of how it works. God "allows" certain things to happen. SATAN is the god of this world. That is plain in the Scriptures. SATAN is who makes these bad things happen. God chooses who runs things on this planet. He makes kings and tears down kings. He allows judgment on nations because of their BEHAVIOR. Do you think America has earned good rewards? Certainly not. Abortion, free drugs anytime, homosexual marriage. THIS is God's judgment on America for America's misbehavior and unbelief. America has turned its back on God. America has decided they can do it without God. Thus, God has turned America over to itself. He is allowing America to cut its own throat. Until America turns around and seeks His face, we will continue to go down that toilet. Satan will continue to pound and America will continue its fall. Satan must destroy America because America is the ONLY nation on earth that backs Israel. We are turning our backs on God's chosen people, the Jews, thus God will punish us for that. It is THAT SIMPLE.
