Murphy camp declares victory due to missed deadline

Fort Pierce —

Update: Campaign officials for Patrick Murphy, Democrat candidate for the congressional district 18 race, are calling their candidate the winner because the St. Lucie Canvassing Board has missed the noon deadline to certify results to the state Division of Elections.

Under Florida law, if the deadline passes with final certified results, the unofficial certified results filed last Sunday stand. Those results show Murphy ahead by .58 percent – above the .5 percent spread which would trigger an automatic recount.

West officials were not immediately available for comment.

------------------

The St. Lucie County Canvassing Board resumed ballot counting this morning in the tight congressional race between Republican Rep. Allen West and Democrat Patrick Murphy under the watchful eyes of dozens of attorneys and supporter of both candidates.

anvassing board member Tod Lowery, who regularly updates the audience on the process, explained that the board still had write-in ballots and other questionable ballots from 8 days of early voting to review before the noon deadline for the state’s 67 supervisors of elections to submit their final, certified tallies to the state Division of Elections.

Last Sunday, the canvassing board agree to recount ballots cast the last three days of early voting after election officials revealed that machines had been unable to read some of the electronic memory cartridges. West’s attorneys then sought a recount of all early ballots after the elections office admitted double-counting some ballots and ignoring others on election night.

I can’t find what they are talking about, BUT, ignoring that, the shut down last night, restart this morning and then the claim that they ran out of time is at best really SUSPECT.

(like anyone except the most gullible would believe the time excuse)

ColdOne: “Murphy knows and pulled this stunt.”

Murphy may or may not be involved, but something is definitely fishy in St. Lucie. Unfortunately, I don’t know what can be done about the fraud when the fraudsters are in control.

I want to see the Republican House start voting to reform voter fraud. We can all it the Allen West bill.

The Republicans, if they were smart (fat chance), they'd be collecting evidence of vote fraud this election to take to the supreme court in favor of voter ID and registration corrections. Every fraudulent vote denies a legal voter their Constitutional right to a free and fair election.

This election gives the Republicans all the voter fraud evidence they need. All they have to do is gather it. There's definitely no shortage of it. This time the fraud is right out in the open.

That 141% final average is pretty impressive though.

To a leftist, the only sanctity in voting, is the sanctity of winning itself. All else is trivial and malleable.

With two cards per voter that is only a 70% turnout.

I agree. Fraud is so common in some places that it happens with little conscious thought. Its become an inner city entitlement.

Looks like it’s over. The canvassing board simply dragged its feet until the deadline passed. So, they failed to do their constitutional duty and West loses because of it. The only remaining question: Will Scott have the balls to step in and extend the deadline?

Yep could have been as high as 200% had all the registered voters voted and turned in both of their ballot sheets for counting. Each voter had two ballot pages thus the machine was counting each page thus the 141%.

Re: Obama voter fraud

That’s exactly what happened in 2012. Obama voter fraud.

Obama voter fraud.

That’s REAL reason why Obama won is VOTER FRAUD (ie: dead people voting, multiple votes per democrat, illegals voting and immigrants illegally voting in the US elections).

I predict that 2014 will be a continuation of the trend we’ve been seeing since after 2008 and we will win the Senate and keep control of the House*.

The GOP needs to learn how to fight.

If John Boehner remains speaker the trend we have enjoyed since after 2008 may disappear. He is as much a threat to the republicans winning and maintaining control as Obama and his voter fraud.

The supreme court of Pariente, Qunice and Lewis?

The supreme court of Roberts, Ginsburg, Sotamayor, and Kagan?

...

This is what checkmate looks like.

True, their cause is “noble” in their minds. The ends justifies the means.

This is so blatant and obvious with the stalling. How can anyone claim running out of time was “fair” and he “lost”?

Don’t know until the votes are counted truthfully.
