Romney was spot on. But, the problem is that no one can say the obvious any more. Which just proves what a bind Conservatives are in.
Go ahead and say the obvious; sometimes people need to be smacked upside the head with the hard truth. Four years from now, voters who voted to receive Obama’s gifts, may realize that the country has no more money for their gifts anymore. Then, those people will probably not even vote in 2016.
Once China calls our debt; I hope those who received Obama’s gifts are the first ones sent over to China to work off the debt. It’s like having to stay and do the dishes, when you can’t pay the restaurant tab.
No, this doesn’t properly show how Conservatives are in a bind, Romney is not a Conservative. If he had run with that comment, thinking like a Conservative, there would have been a different outcome.
It is difficult to determine what it would have been, as I cannot imagine Mitt thinking and talking like a Conservative. He did have a momentary visit with the truth and common sense with the comment. But because of that, it was a hot potato for him.
Newt would’ve ended up on the sofa with Pelosi.
"Spot on" how? Class warfare is fine when the GOP uses it, but despicable when the Dems do? Newt is one of the few of either party truly interested in raising the underclass instead of leaving it where it is, with no education, no aspirations, no hope of anything better -- for Dems, they are reliable votes; for Mitt, "well, they have the safety net, so I don't worry about them.
