After many runs...I finally realized sales occurred all the time.
Black Friday...Big deal....Just another sale!!
Here is my plan.
There will now only be 4 holidays.
One around now. Everybody gets time off paid.
One around March/April. Everybody gets time off paid.
One around July. Everybody gets time off paid.
One early in October. Everybody gets time off paid.
They will all be referred to as “The Holiday Season”.
No mention of religions. No remembrances. No mention of ANYTHING other than the Great Deals you can get.
Some of the black friday deals really are good, and if I could be sure to get them, I would happily get up early and drive to the store. But I won’t wait for hours in line for a mere chance.
Interestingly, I find these sales are discouraging. If I know something was on a black friday sale, I can’t bring myself to buy it later for more money, because I KNOW I could have gotten it cheaper.
