In Matt. 5: 13, Jesus calls Christians to be the the “salt of the earth,” salt being used to preserve food in His day. This evil world is rotting. If the salt loses its saltiness, it is good for nothing. So it is thrown out and people walk on it. That describes the state of the Church today.
Christians in this country are lazy and cowardly. They act as though this is the only life there is. In the 60 years that Poland was occupied by the Communists, the crucifixes never came down in its classrooms. When the government tried to ban them and a priest was killed in the protest, it sparked the rebellion of the people and the end of Communism.
How many crucifixes are in our public schools? What have Christians done to defend Christ’s Church from the Christ-hating secularists? Will you care when they ban the cross from the buildings in your town because the ACLU is offended?
The Republicrat Party now feels it needs to ‘reach out’ (I’m so damned sick of this term!”) to abortionists, homosexuals, leftist loons and to fill the Republican tent with these types.
I don’t want to associate with ‘these types’ as I believe their program is hell bound. There’s too much of this reaching out to the left side of America’s equation. Look at Juan McCain and John Kerry. McCain actually wants Kerry as the next Secretary of State!
Jindal is criticizing Romney after the election, and circus fat Christie is slapping Obozo on the back for his excellent leadership during the ‘perfect storm.’ Whether this cost Romney the election or not is hard to say.
At any rate, to hell with the Democrats. They’re busily committing suicide now and the Republicrats aren’t worth saving.
Give Americans what they need: a Constituion Party of the Right Wing. Thin central government and a responsive military that includes very few civilians. Stop ALL foreign aid and pull out of all those ‘bases’ abroad and protect the USA!
I don’t believe Notre Dame is high in God’s favor these days. It, like Georgetown, is a secular humanist trap for young people.
Hey, Sakie. No denigration towards the Jews!
Jews and Christians are in this together and both believers in the Old Testament need to be converted 100% to Conservatism.
No, you’re probably slime for a host of other reasons, being Jewish has nothing to do with it.
Personally I think He has lifted his hand of protection and letting Satan have his way with the U.S. because we turned our backs on Him, were unthankul, spoiled, and allowed materialism to take over and corrupt each generation more than the last until we have arrived at a place where we are so blind we don’t realize how far we’ve fallen. We all know the ending to the story so we’re just going to have to hang in there and try to impact the world in a positive way the best we can.
What I did seriously tell the fellow is the Old Testament shows that God thinks in much longer terms than he did. The Hebrews repeatedly turned their back on God and then would come back to him after multiple decades. If this Nation will come back to him, he’ll come back to us. He is forgiving but he wants to see “good faith” on our part. If not, “who can say...?”
I agree!
Our hope is that God will move on behalf of His people.
If we are finally awakening and returning to God, then God promises to heal our land.
But without a move of God, the Republic is lost. I doubt we will ever again have an honest election, since the Obamite/Marxists have apparently achieved their coup.
Hahahahahahaha.... good point!
My first thought was; “I’m the problem? BS!” He can go sell that shi’ite somewhere else, I’m not buying it.
As long as the leftist teachers’ unions are able to monopolize what is taught to young children future generations will continue to reject western religious and cultural values. They are the chief villains followed closely by
Pravda West- the mainstream media and their decadent acolytes in Hollywood.
To achieve these goals those people must be destroyed somehow.
That seems to be the new core ideal of politics in this world. It would make a fine motto on the coins, and there's room if we delete the word LIBERTY.
Ah, whenever I hear or read about Christian blah blah blah values, I know the anti-Catholicism is soon to follow or hiddden.
Lo, there it was, something about ignoring Cardinal Dolan. Then, but right after, something about all being united.
OK. No mention of a particular leader.
Judeo-Christian values are what the Constitution is founded on. anyone ignoring all that that entails and includes is struggling to exclude some parts of that.
Our religious leaders who recognize the Constitution are the leaders. That includes Cardinal Dolan as well as Jewish leaders. That’s just the truth.
This article is blather.
“We told God to go to hell a long time ago, and God is now allowing us to see what life is like without Him.”
That’s exactly what happened to the *former* Soviet Union and will mostly likely happen to the (soon to be former?) United States.
“Ah, whenever I hear or read about Christian blah blah blah values, I know the anti-Catholicism is soon to follow or hiddden.
Lo, there it was, something about ignoring Cardinal Dolan. Then, but right after, something about all being united.”
Yup. That, and the part about “modernism” (whatever that is) in the Catholic Church. To a lot of these folks, Catholic just ain’t Christian. Oh, well. Most of the screed was tl;dr anyhow.
The Remnant calls itself a Catholic paper. Catholic papers who are in line with the Holy See do not criticize the head of the American church in this manner.
And they never exclude the Jews in politics and culture as this article does
Discernment, guys.
BTW, the Catholic paper of record is the National Catholic Register.
You sound a little off.
The posting omitted Jews as worthy. I pointed it out. You spun a wheel of phrases to get your response.
Jews don’t worship Jesus. If you do not understand this, your lecturing on religion is akin to Christie telling me to watch my weight.
If you cannot stay on topic to defend the posting you betray your losing hand.
My apology. I didn’t have my first cup of coffee so my brain cells were still asleep.
