The Tulsa Police Department got a call from Oklahoma State University Medical Center last Friday night, warning them that two men had shown up with bullet wounds. This was kind of a backwards crime. Usually, police start with a crime and have to figure out where the criminals are. This time, they started with two wounded criminals and had to figure out what crime had been committed.
Police investigated and puzzled out the source of this mysterious double shooting. According to their report, it all started when a woman invited a man back to her room at the Economy Inn, implying that it was his lucky night.
But everything wasnt as it seemed. The woman, 18-year-old Brittany Sue Carter, was actually part of a scheme intended to rob the unsuspecting man, 28-year-old Jose Cruz. Carter had multiple armed men waiting for the pair in the motel room. As soon as the pair walked in at least one of the suspects drew a gun and demanded money from the unsuspecting mark.
Oh, but wait! Carter wasnt the only person that night who was hiding something. Cruz was a licensed concealed carrier, and he drew his firearm and opened fire. Police revealed that two of the men had been shot in their lower extremities.
Thats when the robbery ended. The gun owner fled the scene and later caught up with police.
The woman and the only man who hadnt been shot, 21-year-old Eric Courtaway, were forced to drive their accomplices to the hospital. The wounds were not serious, though one of the men needed surgery. Theyre both incredibly lucky that the wounds werent fatal. If he was surrounded by three armed men intent on robbery, the gun owner was fully justified in going for kill shots.
The police are still investigating the men who were shot and have not yet pressed any charges. Femme fatale Brittany Sue Carter, on the other hand, was booked into the Tulsa Jail on Saturday. She has been charged with attempted robbery with a weapon and conspiracy to commit a felony. By the look of things, theres a good chance that her three accomplices will be joining her shortly.
This story proves how useful it can be to carry a gun with you at all times. This gun owner got caught with his pants down (figuratively speaking of course he never got a chance to get undressed), but he was still able to make the best out of a bad situation. You know what they say: when life hands you life-threatening lemons, pull out your gun and shoot em.
So, how many gun owners out there carry a weapon on dates? Is that a concealed weapon, or are you just happy to see me?
Great story. If he had been carrying openly the two male perps would have probably just walked away.
In these days of meth and coke extreme measures are needed.
“She has been charged with attempted robbery with a weapon and conspiracy to commit a felony.”
If she is found guilty of these charges( and it sounds like she should be) this criminal record will follow her for the rest of her life.
She’ll end up working at pizza hut 28 hours a week.
This my pistol,
This is my gun.
This is for shooting,
This is for fun.
Not likely. When she's released she'll continue enticing Johns into her sleazy motel room.
Keep in mind that it’s also very typical for home invasion teams to use a “harmless female” to get the victim to open his or her front door.
Yes, he did good...but never would have had to had he not been prom to promiscuity in the first place. Got to get those desire under control! fhu.com!
any pics of the robbers?
Meth: It’s not just for breakfast any more. Jail might be the best thing that ever happened to Miss Carter.
Guilty. Add an innocent smile, Not Guilty, and tempting.
They are looking through the baby albums and kindergarten photos now.
Paul Begala would envy that forehead.
Rule # 2. Practice, Practice, Practice.
hahaha..thats a straight-up FIVEhead! you could show movies on that thing
The reporter needs more education. My guess is the intended victim was probably shooting from the hip as fast as possible, not being merciful. Or maybe he though things would still work out with the young lady if he didn't kill any of her nice friends.
“you could show movies on that thing”
You knew it was a classy meet up when the woman enticed the man to Economy Inn. Can you say ‘Ewww’ enough times.
I didn’t realize that she had also been shot in the face!
Too many people out of work - she's not gonna be good enough to get a 29 hours a week job. She'll have to hope some union goon 'gets her on' as a favor. If she worked at Pizza Hut she'd have to 'work'... I doubt that her calling.
I am glad the shooter was able to defend himself, but it is his own fault that he was in such danger. Needs to live his life in a more honorable way.
If he was going to shoot from the hip, he should have had a laser sight on his pistol. That way he could be assured of hitting center mass.
Looks like the making of a pole dancer. She’ll be dead by 35 from an overdose or meth burnout.
You forgot to add sluts and thugs to the mix.
I saw a TV show the other night where a man was murdered by 8 teens in a robbery set up like this. The master mind of the robbery was a 15 yr old girl, her sister and her boyfriend along with 5 others under the age of 18.
They thought that the victim had $6000 on him. He was worth killing according to the 15 yr old. Ends up, they never got any of the $300 that he actually had in his wallet.
That’s what happens when you don’t have wars. They seem to have a way of pacifying those demons that exist in young peoples minds.
I was thinking the exact same thing.
I had a similar incident when I was 20ish. I was at a nice area of Dallas with bars, clubs, theaters, etc. with a good buddy and two very attractive girls who were just friends of ours. A car pulled up with three girls inside and they asked me to join them. While very tempting, I thought better about winding up mugged or dead. I don’t really believe anything would have happened, but “momma didn’t raise no fool.”
The guy in the article was a fool letting his little brain override his big brain for the possibility of some T&A. The bad guys got what they deserved, but he was lucky he didn’t end up in a ditch.
...lucky he didnt end up in a ditch.
I am a Boomer woman, and I am constantly amazed to see the chances that young women take today. Just think about murders we have heard of in which the victim left a bar by herself or took up a stranger on his offer of a ride home.
In my day, we used the buddy system. We teen girls just did not go places alone, and we certainly did not get into a guy’s car unless it was for a date. And a date started with a fellow ringing the doorbell and meeting my parents before I walked out the door with him. It ended on my front porch with a goodnight kiss if it was not our first date. And the boy did not expect any sexual favors.
I know, really old fashioned, huh? We have really progressed from those dark ages, I suppose. /s
