If there was only a way to determine of Obama won the election by the stroke of a pen in granting citizenship and voting rights to 11-13M Hispanics?

Like my mom, you mean? An 83-year-old lifelong active Republican who, for the first time in her life, declined to vote Republican at the top of the ticket (though she voted Republican downticket)? You really think she didn't agonize over that decision? Do you really think she did it to "send a message"? Or like me, who after more than 35 years of voting straight Republican in every single election, for the first time voted third party at the top of the ticket? You are so shallow that you think this was about "sending a message"?

You've got a lot to learn about lines in the sand, principle, conservatism, the value of being a Republican, and the difference between compromise and capitulation.

I certainly remember hearing Miami-Dade in FL waits to report after the pan handle region, more red, reports...
Seems like they pull the votes out of their butts with that scenario...
I suspect it happens in OH, PA and in counties I could name in No.VA...
But we’ll never know, will we....
Unless Col. West wins the day...then maybe.....

No, Romney is done. No 2016. He’ll be too old, and Ann’s health won’t tolerate another run.

We move on to the next generation: Walker, Rubio, Haley, Martinez, Kasich, Rand Paul etc

Interestingly, it is the Dems who have the generation problem in 2016 - Biden vs Hillary.

There are eight states (Deleware, Georgia, Louisiana, New Hampshire, North Dakota, South Dakota, Vermont, and Wyoming) that have finished counting ballots.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_presidential_election,_2012

In ALL of those states but Vermont, Romney got more votes than McCain.

How is that possible if significant numbers of voters stayed home because Palin wasn’t on the ballot?

And if anyone thinks that the total dropped in Vermont because of that, rather than Vermont simply becoming more fanatically socialist, then I have a bridge to sell you.

And 600 votes in FL in 2000 would have given Al Gore the Presidency.

This means nothing. I see we are letting the pundits keep us in the mud. Time to crawl out and be Conservatives.

Yes, it is obvious that the country has more takers than producers. The problem is the huge cities have negated the effect of the EC by swinging their States via the winner take all provisions of most States. The ‘burbs and rural areas have been effectively muzzled. Just look at the map by county. I feel for the conservative people who live in States with huge cities, they are voiceless. JMHO

The Virginia Board of Elections website shows the vote totals as:
Obama: 1,971,777
Romney: 1,822,466
Difference: 149,311

Not sure if the other state totals from this article are also inaccurate.
149,311 is still within the margin of cheating, but let’s not embarrass ourselves by using false information.

I had a sales job in college where the intially paid me for “contacts”...so many $$ per contact. I cleaned up during that phase.

Then it got to calling those contacts and getting them to actually buy the product. (It was church education materials).

It dried up. Very few wanted to go in depth.

The number is not 333K. You need to divide it by 2 and add 1 in each state.

It's more complicated than that since the final vote not only depended on which candidate people selected, but on how many from each side came out to the polls.

If Romney was not able to turn around Obama voters he would indeed have had to come up with 333K extra votes.

There have been a lot of close elections in recent years and I wonder if one reason is because of the increasing sophistication of the election tracking methods used by the people running campaigns.

Assuming that political advertising works to some extent, let's say that accurate tracking polls show that candidate A is ahead in a certain state. Then candidate A's campaign can save on advertising costs, since they only have to be sure of winning. They don't need to pay for an unnecessary extra margin. Similarly, if they can accurately track voting on election day with exit polls, the winning side doesn't need to do any more get-out-the-vote work than necessary.

So it is possible that if candidate B does a better job, candidate A will also increase their efforts, but only by just enough to win.

If candidate B did such a good job campaigning that the polls flipped in a particular state, then the same factors would still tend to make it a close election.

Look up. The asses are the Democrats. It's their party mascot, and Romney as Governor in Massachusetts was a highly competent functional Democrat ... albeit registered in the Republican party.

Romney threatened to be a major force for transforming ALL Republicans into the same asses that Democrats are. Folks like my mom, who has probably voted for more Republicans than you and I put together, are the ones who understand that you don't get to vote "against." You only get to vote FOR, and like me, she doesn't vote for liberal Democrats, even when they're registered as Republicans.

I wasn’t arguing that. I did hold my nose and vote for him. I was just saying that I find it hard to believe that he deliberately lost to Obama, which might be one way to explain why he fought so viciously in the primary against his Republican rivals and then barely fought at all in the general election against Obama, because I think he really did want the job, since he felt entitled to it.

What went wrong??
How can we fix it in 2016??
Who do you support in 2016??

There won’t be anything left of America by 2016.

The time to ‘fix it’ is NOW.

Start with the election. If we let the Rats get away with this massive voter fraud, we’re no better than a bananna republic.

We must keep digging and pounding him every day, in every way we can- phony birth certificate, Benghazi, Fast and Furious, his hidden life, records....

There are massive reports of criminal activity
(not mischief, not shenanigans- CRIMINAL ACTIVITY) going on all over the U.S during the presidential election.

Reports of machines changing votes from Romney to Obama, eyewitness reports of Republican poll watchers who observed busloads of non-English speaking Somalians in Ohio being instructed to vote Obama- the list is endless.

Romney lost because of this, not any other reason.
Nobody could have won against the fraud planned and perpetrated by the Obama Machine.

But....but..I thought what you and your ilk here on FR felt Obama had going for him the most was that he wasn’t a mormon, and that’s why you were so pleased that Romney lost.

demand a recount and that might have resulted in R2’s win. Heaven forbid that outcome.

you so called Christians here on FR are so transparent in your fear and loathing of mormonism, that it makes you accept the Muslim-hiding-in-plain sight as the better choice for America.

I don’t spend much time worry about Mormons. It only became an issue when Romney ran for President and got the nomination. The main problem with Romney is that he has an extremely liberal record as governor: he is a gay activist pioneer, a taxpayer-funded abortion pioneer, and a socialized medicine pioneer. The Mormon issue became relevant when it helped him win the nomination because of the roughly 90% Mormon vote for him in several critical states, and also when it probably persuaded at least some of the Evangelical base to stay home.

As I have said, I held my nose and voted for Romney, although voting for a known baby killer does not sort well with my moral convictions. Obama is an even more extreme baby killer whom I would never vote for, but it’s still a real question of conscience whether it was right to vote for Romney. Anyway, I did.

It still puzzles me why Romney did not even consider demanding a recount, since the voting fraud was so blatant.

I am not a so-called Christian, as you name me, but a Christian. Regretably, Romney is not, since he denies the most basic belief of real Christians—Catholic, Protestant, or Orthodox—that Jesus is the Second Person of the Trinity, and that there is only one true God. As I understand it, the LDS does not really hold with those basic beliefs, and therefore Romney is not a Christian, since he denies the Trinity and many of the other truths taught in the Bible.

That’s their business; but there is no point in calling people names for speaking the truth about Romney’s many failings as an acceptable candidate for conservatives. Better than Obama, yes. But a very poor choice for the Republican candidate.

Mormons are officially members of The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints [aka LDS]. They do believe in the same Jesus as all other Christian denominations. it’s just mormons’ perceptions or interpretation of the nature of the Trinity that separates them from other Christian denominations. mormons believe that the Trinity is made up of 3 separate beings: God, The Father, His Son, Jesus Christ and The Holy Ghost. whereas most Christians believe that God and Jesus and The Holy Ghost are really the same being rolled into one Trinity.

i used the expression “so-called Christian,” because as a Christian, i would leave my judgement as to who is or isn’t a believer in Christ up to Our Good Lord. i don’t think real Christians should be usurping that role from Our Dear Saviour. however, their are a number of Freepers here on FR who claim they are Christian, but have no hesitation in serving up such judgement on others: mormons in particular. i’m sorry if i have offended you.

We can not wait for 2014 and 2016 to regroup and figure out new strategies. By then it will be too late. The Marxist/Muslim usurper will have completed his planned distruction of America.

That’s what people fail to understand.

It can not reiterate enough that if this massive voter fraud is NOT CHALLENGED NOW, we could loose the House of Representatives in 2014 and possibly every election forward to massive voter fraud.

Meanwhile we must keep digging and pounding him every day, in every way we can- phony birth certificate, Benghazi, Fast and Furious, his hidden life, records....

.
Polls indicated that Romney was going to win the election. The economy is close to Great Depression era conditions, and unemployment is almost as high as when Obama entered office. Economic conditions became so dire after Obama took office it prompted the rise of an entire new movement, the Tea Party.
Presidents rarely win reelection when the economy is in the tank.
So how did Romney lose a race that numerous reputable polls and pundits predicted would be an easy win, based on historical patterns?
