Perhaps it isn’t so much that he made a direct blame on Bush, but he did make the comment over and over about going back to the policies that got us into this mess. Maybe it was that line of attack that persuaded voters to not vote for Romney?
IMHO, many on the right STILL accept way too many leftist premises and then argue those premises. On many occasions, I went to Hannity’s Twitter site just put out a post for him to STOP the “Obama inherited a mess” premise. I may be wrong, but not once did I hear him interrupt a guest and say, “Excuse me, but isn’t that premise wrong? How can a President claim that the mess was bigger than he thought when he was a sitting Senator for 4 years prior to running? How can he say that he inherited a mess from President Bush when fellow Democrats Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid were responsible for the spending for the past two years?”
You’re right. One of the things that Newt started to do right during the primaries is that he would tell people to stop accepting the premises handed to them by the leftist establishment.
That “Obama inherited a mess” is one of them.
Boehner can’t stop spending as Speaker of the House, he’s had 2 years to do something instead of making a harder choice, he raised the debt ceiling.
Other thing Boehner can do is negotiate a Wealth Tax instead of any Income Tax increase, so the Democrats actually their tax the 1%er’s they claim won’t effect the economy and jobs.
