Welcome to Washington, for some it's the ‘state of denial’(WA)

Passing through the sometimes crowded aisles of the Washington Arms Collectors’ monthly gun show at the Puyallup Fairgrounds, there was no question that a lot of people were there doing some serious shopping in the wake of the Nov. 6 election.

There was also no doubt that some people in that pavilion had voted for Obama, and were in a rather interesting quandry: how to engage in a conversation about the election while not necessarily being confrontational or combative. A couple seemed smug without daring to engage in a full debate. All of the "suspects" invariably spoke without looking us in the eye and countered with boilerplate rationalization on the level of, "Well, you still have your guns, don't you?"

More than a few people stopped by this correspondent’s table suggesting that we follow suit with Arizona gun dealer Cope Reynolds at Southwest Shooting Authority, and refuse to do business with anyone who voted for Barack Obama. That story hit a nerve with gun owners. CNS News picked up the story Sunday (more than a week late) and added new life to it.

Interestingly, sentiment in the gun community appears to largely support Reynolds, with a few criticisms. That showed up in reaction to this column, and also at the WAC show on Saturday.

On the other side, conversations with the few suspected Obama voters were a bit awkward. Perhaps the most interesting was one overheard by two open carry activists standing a few feet away from this columnist and a guy who insisted that nothing was lost with the re-election. Obama hadn’t done anything during his first term to thwart gun rights, the economy was fine (“If you didn’t sell any stocks, you haven’t lost any money”…except that your 401K just took a massive nosedive) and why should anyone

A combination of an MSM "all in" for the first black president, ignorance, and racisim (cannot allow the first black president to fail) all combined to create this win for the statists. It is hard to prove vote fraud was important, but it seems possible, as Democrats fight any means of preventing it.

I was there with my dad and family. I saw more ammunition buying than gun buying. I saw several people buy hand guns but no assault type weapons (AK’s or civilian M16’s). The back part of the pavilion was empty (almost) no big crowd though.

The Comnunist/Marxist Obama machine didn’t need guns to take over the government of the United States. They have”transformed” this nation just like Obama said they would. The evil that our blood and treasure has fought against since it’s founding now sits smugly in the Whitehouse. It was welcomed by a clueless and propogandized majority that sold the soul of our nation to the highest bidder. They will do it again and again.

Already, Republicans are talking about remaking the GOP and how they can better pander to “demographics” rather than Americans. Those “demographics” don’t even identify themselves as Americans and could care less about our history and heritage.

The rest are totally unconcerned with the demise of the nation. As long as the check is in the mail, their health care and housing is free and Hollywood and the media is providing them with brain killing sewage, they are totally content and will happily sell their vote to whomever will promise them the most. In addition, they are totally unaware of where their livelihood comes from; namely from hardworking taxpayers who are dwindling in number and resolve because they see the handwriting on the wall.

Stupid has become the majority and they’re not about to listen to anything that smacks of fiscal or personal responsibility. The guns will come in handy when that same majority has received the last stolen and “redistributed” wealth that government can give then. Then they will be on your doorstep demanding the last of what you have. Good luck with that. Just keep in mind that every vote for the Obamanation was bought with what came of the backs of you, the taxpayer and your family and their future. If anything happens to be overlooked, unions and their greedy officials will take care or that too.
