Conservation experts and federal agents say they're looking into the violent deaths of several bottlenose dolphins along the northern Gulf Coast this year, including one that was shot and another that was stabbed with a screwdriver.
"I can't explain why anyone would shoot a dolphin," Jeff Radonski, a Florida-based special agent for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, told CNN. Radonski said NOAA is investigating four of the six deaths reported since June.

Shot and stabbed with a screwdriver? Sounds like gangland executions to me. Have they questioned the local loan sharks?
Several thousands of people were also murdered in the USA alone in the same past few months.
Priorities are important.
That's one reality-based cop show/procedural crime drama angle that hasn't been explored yet.

I’m not going to read this, only seeing the headline makes me weep in depair over mankind’s unbelievable cruelty.
I imagine it's pretty difficult to do. I think the screwdriver one showed a certain lust for death as well.
