Your suggestions, I believe, have great merit. It is clear that the public schools have done our country a disservice, in many ways.

On the other hand, your approach suffers from the fact that it is impossible.

I must be losing my edge... why didn't I think of this myself?

Maybe because there's nothing to this at all. The 12th Amendment doesn't work the way this clown seems to think it does. He writes:

According to the 12th Amendment, for the Electoral College to be able to select the president, it must have a quorum of two-thirds of the states voting. If enough states refuse to participate, the Electoral College will not have a quorum.

The pertinent portion of the 12th Amendment, which this idiot is apparently misreading, provides as follows:

"The person having the greatest Number of votes for President, shall be the President, if such number be a majority of the whole number of Electors appointed; and if no person have such majority, then from the persons having the highest numbers not exceeding three on the list of those voted for as President, the House of Representatives shall choose immediately, by ballot, the President. But in choosing the President, the votes shall be taken by states, the representation from each state having one vote; a quorum for this purpose shall consist of a member or members from two-thirds of the states, and a majority of all the states shall be necessary to a choice."

A "majority" (i.e., 332) of the "whole number of Electors appointed" (i.e., 538) on November 6, 2012 will cast their ballots for Obama on December 17, 2012. That's the end of the matter.

Sheesh. WND just gets stupider and stupider and stupider.

"On the other hand, your approach suffers from the fact that it is impossible [to close the public schools]."

If it is impossible to close the public schools, then it WILL soon also be impossible [for the Republican Party] to, as you said, win the hearts and minds of the American electorate (if it is not impossible already). That is, unless, the Republican Party is or becomes merely a second Democrat Party.

Reason: The scales have already been tipped in the favor of the "takers," and there are not sufficient numbers of minority conservatives to go in to minority areas and re-educate the minority populace---and not enough time to do it either, before the weights on the leftist side of the scales are added to an irreparable degree. Open borders have contributed to this, and the Democrat Party knows it. The public schools will now, under a second Obama term, turn up the leftist indoctrination in the public schools, and the current high school freshmen will be of voting age in 2016, solidly trained to vote for the next Democrat candidate.

Two thirds of 50 is 33.

So if 18 Republican states refuse to participate, then this is a real possibility?

There are currently 29 Republicans, 20 Democrats, and 1 Independent holding the office of Governor in the United States.

Romney won 24 states on November 6th.

So if 18 states 'don't show up', or refuse to vote based on voter fraud, this could be a possible venue?

Jim, do you know if Ed Vieira is a FReeper, or just know him period? He would know if this, in reality, is a constitutional and viable possibility.

Any other comments from our legal people?

AMEN!!! But who will confront him about the BOGUS BC?? Don’t expect the ball-less congress critters to do it. They’ve had 5 years and NOT ONE of them ever questioned it....or his eligibility.

Unfortunately, this level of idiocy coming out of a supposed news outlet casts the entire Obama eligibility issue under a shadow of serious suspicion.

This is PURE BULLSHIT - the author at WND shoulda read BOTH Article, Section I of the Constitution AND the 12th Amendment. PLUS [as a BONUS] United States Code Title III, Chapter I, which governs the method of counting electoral votes.

BETTER yet, YOU shoulda read them before posting this thread.

The ONLY times quorums are required is when the vote is passed on to the House when NO candidate has a majority for President. The House then needs a quorum to select the President.

AND

When the vote is passed on to the Senate when NO candidate has a majority for Vice-President. The Senate then needs a quorum to select the Vice-President.

[T]he polls told us that Romney would lose — except of course if you changed the parameters more to your liking. State polls, the only polls that matter in an electoral college election, showed even BEFORE the hurricane that Romney needed a miracle.

[...]

So long as you view the world from your own perspective, you won’t understand why anybody would vote for Obama, and therefore you will be shocked, and assume it must be fraud. Hang out for a day with the “other side”, and you’ll understand why they loved Obama, why they got better turnout than you could expect, and how they won the election.

Or you can continue to live in an alternative reality where conservatives are a vast majority who only lose elections because they are too stupid to figure out that the other side is cheating. Why you want to elect those stupid people, I don’t know.

Sweet, sweet sanity. Kudos for assuming the thankless task of being the designated grownup for this thread.

This tactic is not necessary.

Romney, as the legitimate nominee of the Republican Party, certainly has legal standing to challenge Obama's eligibility in court.

All that is necessary is to state that serious questions have arisen concerning the legitimacy of the document submitted as Obama's Long Form Birth Certificate.

"We (the Romney Campaign) hereby challenge Obama's Constitutional eligibility to hold the Office of President of the United States and demand submission of said document for inspection by recognized forensic forgery experts."

I mean, what else can Romney lose now?

I agree, I feel very protective of my vote, no way would I ever mail it in. I watch like a hawk when my ballot gets sucked up by the ballot machine. I can’t understand people who would mail their votes in, unless they were bed ridden or over seas. If people are too lazy to get to the polls, then maybe they shouldn’t be voting in the first place.
