(CBS News) WASHINGTON - CBS News has learned that the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) cut specific references to "al Qaeda" and "terrorism" from the unclassified talking points given to Ambassador Susan Rice on the Benghazi consulate attack - with the agreement of the CIA and FBI. The White House or State Department did not make those changes.
There has been considerable discussion about who made the changes to the talking points that Rice stuck to in her television appearances on Sept. 16 (video), five days after the attack that killed American Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens, and three other U.S. nationals.
Republicans have accused her of making misleading statements by referring to the assault as a "spontaneous" demonstration by extremists. Some have suggested she used the terminology she did for political reasons.

They were all so adamant that it was caused by the video. So they can make minor changes all they want....BUT THEY ADDED STUFF to COVERUP the TRUTH....and stuck with the story until after the election.

Leaders from the State Department, FBI, CIA, including former CIA Director David Petraeus, testified on Thursday and Friday. Regarding the allegations that the original CIA talking points had been changed so that terrorist involvement was not included, Sen. Chambliss said, “Everybody there was asked do you know who made these changes; and nobody knew. The only entity that reviewed the talking points that was not there was the White House.”
Translation: designated Fall Guy, goes under the bus for The Messiah, who wouldn't call ANYONE a Terrorist, unless they are NOT Muslim, AND/OR, they are White.
My BS meter just exploded.
Do they really expect us to believe this BS. Well— probably the Republicans in the Congress might, or even if they don’t they will accept it so they don’t have to do anything about it.

Sen. Chambliss told Chris Wallace, “We’ve got to get some State Department officials in to really explain why you send an ambassador basically unguarded with a few Libyan guards.”
Sen. Lieberman added, “In my opinion it was irresponsible to have our State Department personnel there with only three security guards.” He went on to say that, “Either we should’ve given them the protection they deserved, or we should’ve closed that mission in Benghazi as the British government had done a short while before.”
Such sloppy work. The totalitarians of the 1930s were much better at disinformation, the Big Lie and inspirational statism. Moderns are just crude and clumsy and ineffectual. I blame drugs and television.

Nothing happens in Barry's WH unless Valerie Jarrett says it's going to happen. Jarrett said to cut the reference to AQ. She then told Clapper that he was going to take the fall for it. VJ never takes the fall for anything.
