Top Illinois state officials said Tuesday they’ll push to issue driver’s licenses to illegal immigrants — a move backed also by Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, who for years stood as Democrats’ key impediment to pushing immigration in Congress.
State Senate President John Cullerton said he’ll try to pass a bill in the legislature’s veto session next week to remove restrictions on illegal immigrants getting licenses there, and Gov. Pat Quinn said he’ll sign it, if it reaches his desk. Both men are Democrats.
The move represents pushback after a decade in which states went the other direction, putting tighter restrictions on driver’s licenses after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. The commission that investigated those attacks recommended stricter driver’s license requirements.
Illinois would become the third state to allow illegal immigrants to get licenses, joining Washington and New Mexico.

The regime is using illegals to crush us. They tried arming Mexicans (Fast & Furious) to run the border and take over Arizona, Texas and California (if they haven’t already). When they start issuing gun permits to illegals.. Game over.
Here’s the thing...if you haven’t figure out the scheme. You show up in one friendly state and get your license....although you are a foreigner. Well...you travel over to Alabama, move into a residence, and show up to the county office to switch your old license over to a Alabama license. The county office has to accept the Illinois license and swap-out. You can’t go and beat these guys on this game....you’ve lost at this point, entirely.
Why would anybody need a "license" to peaceably travel from place-to-place anywhere in this country anyway?

Well, you need an ID to get on an airplane.
Then again, foreigners should have an ID or passport from their home countries, theoretically. Theoretically there should be no need for an American state issued drivers license. But liberals have a different mindset about these things.

They were protesting the secretary of state here in Michigan last week because she won’t give them licenses.
When you vote you have to show an id,so here you go .no hassle voting.These democrats are pure evil....

I don’t know that I have a problem with this, as long as the license identifies the individual as being a citizen of ?xxx? country.
There are endorsements on licenses today. Why not just have an endorsement for non-citizen?
The fact is that illegal immigrants drive on our highways. If they don’t have a license they are also not going to have insurance, and most likely will never have taken a drivers test.. Hell, they may be half blind.
