Former ambassador to China and Republican presidential candidate Jon Huntsman could have been the greatest threat to the presidents re-election, Obamas campaign manager claimed Tuesday morning.
The fact that Huntsman is widely considered a moderate may have played into Messinas supposed concern. Against Mitt Romney, Barack Obama won moderates by 15 points, Messina explained.
But its unlikely that Messinaan astute Democratic partisantruly perceived Huntsman as a threat. The former Utah governor barely registered Republican support during the primary season.

1972 was the first Federal election in which I was able to vote.I’ve never missed a Federal election (November, even years) since I first qualified. But if Huntsman was the candidate I very probably would have stayed home.

Talk about a “tale told by an idiot!”
This is BS, frankly, the propaganda machine will pump out loads of urban legends to anyone who tries running against a Democratic Presidential candidate. Huntsman was never a threat, because the left would simply argue that regardless of his adopted Chinese daughters, regardless of his faith, regardless of the fact that he’s only been married once for however many years, he’s a rich white guy, and a person who is a non-atheist, and therefore will try to turn America into a theocracy. End of story. Huntsman also has the problem of being limited in his linguistics, he can speak Chinese, but what good is that when Spanish is far more prominent in the U.S.?
Finally, why didn’t Obama make him in the cabinet? It would have been a decent way to shut the person up - permanently?
And our Nuevo Amerika Replacement Population would have eaten it up just like they did with Romney.
It’s over. We all live in California now (or is it Venezuela?)
Major BS. Huntsman was the China stooge. China owns him.
